I'm becoming rather addicted to Daniel's books, so it won't be long before I'm back for more. His plots are clever and yet written in a style which is not a heavy read - a great combination.

This is the novel following after the doctors wife.I loved the doctors wife book 📖 however, I was not a huge fan of this book.I found it rather boring half way through… but I still carried on. Normally, Daniel grabs my attention where as, with this book he didn’t. There were good moments in the book, that I didn’t see coming but the ending was a bit disappointing. I’m hoping the next book in this series, the doctors widow, will be as good as the doctors wife novel.Overall, I scored this book a 3.5 ⭐️

The psychological issues affected Alice, locked up in prison for a crime she didn't commit. Fern has some psychological issues, but different from Alice's issues. The characters are very different from each other, there are good and bad ones.

O MG I can definitely recommend you read this bo book.it's a Must MUST Must read. Having had read the doctors wife I really could not wait for this sequel. I LOVE FERNS CHARACTER. JUST BRILLIANT SHE IS. Although I am starting to take a shine to Alice however as the other women who helped start this chain reaction sleeping with another woman's husband Dr Drew Devlin. Surely if found out they should not expect to get away with it so they get what they deserve. So go on Fsrn. Although perhaps she took it a bit far. But oh boy to get revenge on both in one fair scoop as just a bloody brilliant amazing thing . So I am totally glad Fern as got away I just hope she can stay one foot in front of everyone. I really could not read the book fast enough. However before I left my review I decided to read it again take in the bits we miss when trying to fast read a book I then read it at a slower pace. Now having read this book twice is only the third book I have ever read twice. One was Harry's game by Gerald Seymour. The other one was the brilliant Caroline Mitchell Flesh and blood. For me to actually read a book twice they have to be something amazing about the particular book. With this one it's the character Fern although she did go too far for revenge Daniel Hurst as just given Fern singing that draws you to get character that really does pull you towards her you can't help but like her. Her welfare to me is the most important thing for me. Not trying to give too much away I was just glad that when the police raided her house with a arrest warrant I was truly glad she was not there,I am rooting for Fern in a big big way. I have pre-order the doctors mistress as we will not actually know# Ferns fafe.or A!ice's until then so so much looking forward to the third book in this brilliant amazing series again a Must read after having read the doctors wife first of courxe ......,,........................................ Bloody brilliant.............

This would make a good tv series. Have already downloaded the next one. All the characters are pretty much talking to you, the reader, so not much dialog, but an interesting read nonetheless.

Very good storyline. Fern continues to get away with murder. Alice is in prison for the murder. Great characters. Well written.

This is the second book in this series and it didn’t disappoint. It was addictive reading and I had trouble putting it down to get on with my chores. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series to see what happens to Alice and Fern. Well done Daniel Hurst for another great book.
