Highly Recommended Support Guide to the Fuji X100F Camera
Most of Pfirstinger's books are great for those who are either entry- or mid-level users, or even experienced photographers that are trying to learn a new camera model. Fuji makes TERRIFIC cameras and perhaps even BETTER lenses, but their user manuals, like most camera company's manuals, really leave something to be desired, being more extended specification sheets, as opposed to USER manuals (i.e., how to USE the camera). Fuji also, shockingly, omits indexes (!) in their manuals, making finding information very difficult unless you are using a pdf version on the computer and using the search function in Acrobat. This book is a great way to learn your new Fuji from a user's point of view, and works great in conjunction with the official user manual. When used in tandem, you have a great source of information on how to use your new X100F. The physical size of the book is handy, too. Most people who have used these books by Pfirstinger agree that these are some of the best manuals that Fuji might have included in the first place!

Does what it says; still I'm disappointed
I really want to give this book a 3 star rating, but I honestly can't since it does what the title says: it is a book of tips. Yet I'm still disappointed that it is not a more useful book. Why? Tip #1 says it all: read the manual.I suspect that most people who buy this camera know enough about photography to be able to plow through the manual's 171 mind-bogglingly boring pages and figure out how to use the camera. I had hoped that this book would offer a more intelligent way to get acquainted with the camera. To some extent it does, since the tips are relatively bite-size and often require you to read the corresponding section of the manual to fully understand the feature. On the other hand, this book does not try to be a systematic or logical introduction. As you would expect, it does highlight important features and gives the author's rationale for recommended settings. That's all well and good, but I would have much preferred 75 tips and perhaps 25% of the book being a knowledgeable user's introduction to the camera. I recommend using Amazon's "Look Inside" feature to see if this book is really what you want or perhaps another book will better fit your needs.

Good information for the Fuji X10F owner/user to have available
This little book has a lot of good information about the X100F and looks at the functions of the camera from a different perspective than the user's manual that comes with the camera. It sheds light on some of the functions of the camera and the menu system and explains things in more detail than the camera's manual does. It is like having a seasoned X100F user on hand to explain the camera in more detail than the manual does. This book is a great companion to the X100F and the factory supplied user's manual; it is highly recommended for those who are new owners of the Fuji X100F.

Easy to follow dialogue and photos
Rico does a great job in writing this book. I consider it a must-read in addition to the often poor writing of the included OEM paper manual. I always have the camera in front of me and try out all his suggestions while doing hands-on learning. Thanks Rico

Good info- chaotic presentation
The information is useful but the book lacks structure in my opinion and is not easy reading material because of the above. I would research other titles before committing.

Glad I bought it
Very helpful book. Glad I bought it. I doubt a professional photographer would need to read this book, but it was perfect for me. I read through it closely, and as I get to know the camera I know I'll be returning to re-read sections. The thing is about the X100F is that with everything set to auto it takes very nice photos, but to get the most of it you've really got to vary the settings to see how that changes the final product. I'm sure you could fritz with it yourself and over 2 years of use you'd figure almost everything on your own, but having a roadmap like this book gets you to the point where you can really use the features of the camera much sooner.

Excellent book, but too much on RAW processing..
This book is very good, however, I wish there was less emphasis on post-processing of the RAW files..For me, the whole purpose of choosing a camera like Fuji X100F, with lots of dials and buttons, is to create the best JPEG images straight out of the camera, which this camera most certainly can do!

Indispensable
Excellent bouquin.
