Rothco Enhanced Molded Pepper Spray Holder - Black

Very good C.O.P. holster. Better than expected for the price, especially. I am a Correctional Officer, and utilize the full sized canisters of C.O.P., rather than the smaller size typically carried by LEO. This holster first the full sized.The can fits in snugly and fully, with no binding or catching. The belt loop fits easily, but tightly, on my duty belt (a Blackhawk CQB rigger belt). So, when worn, the holster fits snug on my side, with no play back and forth or side to side.Stitching looks tight, and has kept so far. I had one holster, advertised here on Amazon but not bought here, start to fray and come unraveled within a month.The only possible weakness for this holster, and it hasn't shown up yet, would be the velcro closure. I had been using a Bianchi holster that lasted 8 years, that utilized a snap. It was the belt loop that broke on it eventually. I don't know that the velcro closure will last that long. However, so far it is fine, and at the price paid for this holster, I would recommend just purchasing two of them. For about $20, you could get at least a few years service out of them.

First and foremost I want to note just how sturdy this holster feels. Just examining and wearing it I know that it's first intention is ruggedness. It is slightly bulky, but very well made. I also like the belt loop, instead of the usual clip it is a full loop for you to 'thread' your belt through, so no chance of this falling off if you have to run, jump fences etc. I bought a full size 4 oz can of Fox Labs and it fits perfectly in the holster. I would say that it is too big for every day carry for a civilian, but I would wear it in an emergency situation. The same brand makes a smaller one more suited for every day carry.My only gripe, which isn't too bad, is that the Pepper Spray fits TOO securely. The holster has 2 levels of retention. The velcro AND the very snug fit. The can takes some effort to get out and may be an issue if you need it out quickly. I suppose practice can help this. On the positive side, there is no chance of the can falling out unintentionally. Just something to think about.Overall I am very pleased with the holster.
