I needed a 3/4 inch hole in an electrical box and this is the right tool for the job. “But why can’t I just use a drill bit?” Well I am glad you asked. This tool punched the hole instead of drilling. Drilling leaves all kinds of metal chips and shavings that do not play well with electrical components. It is simply cleaner and safer than drilling holes. It is easy to use, although it does require a 1/2” pilot hole (the box already had 1/2” holes). It preformed well. I like that it splits the slug in two for easy extraction. I have no doubt this is a sturdy tool that will last many years. If you are a professional electrician you may want to look at a better set but for occasional home use, this is perfect for the money.
