Using these with Time Atac cleats as my carbon soled Lake shoes specify a shield needed to protect sole

Like a good priest... they save your soles! (sorry) I Bought another set after the last set finally bit the dust. A great product. Expensive cycling shoes with carbon soles are lovely but eggbeater predals tend to wear two grooves in them over time making the pedal binding loose... these stop that and protect the expensive carbon. They will wear out eventually but thats what they are for and a new set are much cheaper than new shoes. They weigh very little for stainless steel. A must for anyone using eggbeater pedals.

The standard plastic shoe shields are crap. Those ones protect my Fiziq shoes for almost 2 years now. Definitely would recommend them over the standard plastic ones.

I always have a problem now clipping with my right foot. for some reason it creates a ridge that keeps grabbing on the pedal metal loop :/ If they would make a progressive edge, might work.

Devo ancora installarli perchè non mi sono ancora arrivate le scarpe. Ad un primo sguardo sembra siano state lavorate al laser. Qualità di materiale e di lavorazione. Ritornerò a dare la mia impressione appena le monto sulle scarpe nuove.

Protect carbon soles from damage from SPD cleats. Slight convex shape adds just enough height to make cleats easier to clip in if you're using mountain bike shoes with stack height for walking. Seem expensive for a thin piece of metal, but I guess the price includes the cost of design, which is excellent.
