Love the 10 foot action
Bought this fly rod for saltwater fly fishing. I wanted a heavy weight rod and found this 10 foot 8 wt rod at a great price. It comes with a very nice clear plastic tube case that is handy for storage or travel. The rod has a great fit and finish with a deep green color. The cork handle is premium in my opinion. The rod is light weight and cast a country mile. Very happy with my purchase.

Great pole for price
Used this for hiking/backpacking. Long enough and stiff enough for long barrel casts when no back cast is available.

Great rod for the money!
I ordered this rod that came yesterday. Spent the morning on my local pond casting poppers for bass, and this fly rod was very impressive. It easily performed as well as my name-brand rods...

This is my first fly signing rod - what a great experience
I’ve always wanted to learn toFlysish any my friend recommended this style. I’ve picked it up very quickly. The pole feels great, has awesome action, and seems to be of very quality construction.I haven’t caught anything yet but I’m going to chalk that up to the user versus the tool. I give it a solid ‘A’ grade!

Nice Rod For the Money
Because I already have a 5 and 6 wt rod, I thought I would try an 8 wt rod for larger fish. The quality and workmanship of this rod seems to be top notch, especially for this price point. Everything is wrapped and epoxied neatly. The cork handle feels nice in hand when casting and reeling. The reel seat solidly held a couple of different reels. When casting, the rod was responsive. Unfortunately, I grabbed the wrong bag, and it only had reels with 5wt line on it. Although the rod felt a little stiff (assuming it was due to the 5 wt line not being heavy enough), it still loaded and was responsive. I was able to cast my fly to exactly where I intended. This is a great buy for anyone just starting out flyfishing or expanding into other fish species. Only wish it came with a true carrying case or at least a cloth bag that separates each piece of the rod.

Affordable mid-grade rod
Aventik Eupheng is an Asian company selling a vast range of fishing products. Their Amazon store page shows they offer “high-quality and affordable fishing tackles”.At $66, the Riverbend rod is vastly more affordable (about 3.75 times) than a low-tier rod series offered by a brand name fly-fishing supplier. The Riverbend has two stripping guides with ceramic inserts. The snake guides are two-footed. This rod has a hook keeper, which some name brand rods do not include on rods over 6 weight, on the theory that it interferes when shooting line. The quality of the cork handle is at least mid grade if not higher. The Riverbend sports the ergonomic full wells grip, and has a composite layer at the top and bottom of the grip. It also has a fighting butt with a composite end.The reel seat is aluminum with up-locking rings. The washer between the rings keeps them tight and the reel secure. The blanks are graphite, described by the manufacturer as 30T IM8.The Riverbend is a Kelly green and chrome, with no accent threads in the wraps. The rod identification on the butt section is in white. The alignment dots don’t line up exactly on the Riverbend. You should sight through the guides to confirm your alignment during assembly. The Riverbend case is thin, see-through plastic with foam inserts to keep the rod in place. It will not protect your rod from even a toddler stepping on it.The Riverbend rod repair/replacement fee ranges from $20 to $40, with the customer paying for shipping. The country or origin appears to be in Asia.Bottom Line: If you are new to fly-fishing and you aren't sure if it is a sport you will spend much time on, the Aventik Riverbend can be a good choice. You will get a rod that is at least mid-grade at an affordable price. If you like the highest quality gear, you want to look fantastic on the water, and you have plenty of disposable income, select top-tier name brand rod made in America.

Surprising price
Great price if this is truly an IM8 rod. The color is a solid green, so it’s a little hard to tell what it’s made of, but I’m sure it has to be graphite. Very nicely built, good hardware, and nice cork. They call it a medium fast, but I would lean more towards fast. Overall, there isn’t much room to complain when you consider the price. I won’t start crying if it gets shut in a car door as one or my rods did.

Really Nice Rod
The quality of this Riverbend series IM8 graphite fly fishing rod was a pleasant surprise. It is quite responsive and capable of easy long casts. The rod has a medium fast action, and balances well with an appropriate reel and weight forward line. It is a 4-segment rod with each section being about 28.5-inches long for a 9-foot 5wt. This is too long to fit in air travel carry-on suitcases, but still very convenient when traveling.I can fish this rod all day without becoming fatigued. It just has a light easy feel. My only complaint was that the double lock on the reel seat tended to loosen up as you fish. However, I was able to resolve it.This is a very enjoyable rod. I have tended to go to lower rod weight the more I fly fish, and this 5wt was a good choice for me. It is a good quality rod for a reasonable price.
