Works well on aluminum
This worked better than expected. I am filing some 0.25" thick aluminum. I machined some slots and needed to make the corners squared. I was surprised at how well the file cut thru the material. I can only speak for using the file tool on aluminum at this point.

USELESS JUNK! Cuts nothing, files nothing, vibrates violently, painful to hold!
Pros:It turns on and has three speeds other than that is has no redeeming qualities, so NONE!Cons:Minus 10,000 Stars! The machine comes packaged loosely in a box with a single piece of broken styrene foam under it, and the attachments and accessories banging around loose in the box.It does not have a long enough stroke to cut anything with any blade, which must be tediously locked in by four set screws, rather it vibrates the object you’re trying to cut without actually cutting it and the stroke is less than 1/8 of an inch or about 3mm!The four set screws must be tediously turned a tiny bit at a time, difficult as the thread is course, to avoid the blades or rasps being crooked. It takes a lot of fiddling about to get them aligned and since the thread is course centering the blades/rasps is nearly impossible! The blades it comes with are useless generic very dull stamped wood blades, one is supposed to be for metal what a joke that is, but as I said the stroke is so short the teeth do not even slide across the piece to be cut they just vibrate it instead! It says it comes with needle files, HAH, instead it comes with very rough medium sized thick wood rasps with very few teeth per inch, however since the stroke is ridiculously short they are useless even for soft wood unless your goal is to vibrate the wood. This thing is really, really, really extremely LOUD for a tool that does zero actual work! Whilst running it makes disturbing noises that make me believe it will tear itself apart if used for any length of time.It is HUGE in terms of using it for any delicate work and is very heavy but has almost no stroke so is useless for heavy work as well, it also vibrates your hand severely enough to make it painful to hold whilst it is turned on. The vibration is so intense that it made my hand numb after only two minutes, and my hand is still sore while I am typing this review. It would be faster to vigorously run a very dull butter knife across your work piece to cut or file it than to try and use this useless junk! Conclusion:If you need a reciprocating saw that works look elsewhere as this is an ill conceived and badly constructed very heavy painful vibrating machine not a tool. I am starting the return less than a half hour after opening the package!

Great for plastic
Searched high and low for a reciprocating saw that was low spm and this thing did the trick. good for plastic which is what I needed it for and the filing mechanisms are cool.

Not your main power horse, but has its own moment
Gave 4 stars at the beginning:Pros:- Unique 5mm stroke design makes it working in very tight spot to remove/cut material slowly but accurately. This is the core value of this product that is not found anywhere else.- Unique screw based fastening mechanism gives versatility adding other accessories to the tip.Cons:- Not powerful enough given its body size and battery size.- The battery system sucks. It comes with only one battery. The battery is proprietary without model number. It comes with a weak wall charger instead of a fast charger.Strong pros and strong cons, I'm hesitating to keep it or not.==================Changed to 3 stars after getting answers from the customer support.Customer support is fast and clear, but confirmed there is no option available to buy additional batteries.Decided to return the product.

Broken screw and strings of metal
One of the housing screws had the head snapped off right out of the box. In the part where it's supposed to hold the attachment there were strings of metal. It almost seems like they drilled or machined it and just left the bunched up metal strings in the attachment holder. It's also awkwardly bulky.

Not very good
This tool lacks power and is only able to barely cut very thin 1/8" materials of soft wood

Perfect price point
Very well made and well-priced tool for control over precision filing projects... three speeds with one button. Useless instructions are only in Chinese but it's very intuitive to use. Comes with a nice assortment of files and saws. My only negative comment is that there's no carry case but Amazon has lots of those available at a reasonable price.
