This the best book for graduate and undergraduate student ever !
As a PhD candidate in the area of Electrical and Computer Engineering I usually learn things by doing that things. This book helped me to understand many theoretical theory which I was struggling to understand it exactly as stated in the theory. Getting things done using a Matlab is an essential part for students and for researcher as well. It is very useful and helpful to learn some specific theoretical topics and convert them down to Matlab code. Also, the book goes surprisingly deep into the maths, so, again, as an engineer, reading a Matlab script make it easier for me to understand the formulas. Actually this books works the same if some one doing problems solving which is the real challenge for all students to demonstrate their understanding the material the need to be examined for. This the best book for graduate and undergraduate student ever !

A good introduction to MIMO and OFDM
This book gives a good introduction to MIMO and OFDM. Chapters on the channel models show why MIMO and OFDM are needed. Then, the implemenations of OFDM and MIMO are given.It is not an easy book to follow, but is worth the effort. There is a large amount of matrix algebra, but that is to be expected since MIMO is inherently a matrix system. The MatLab programs should be first run as examples which aid in understanding. A person should be sure they understand what they are doing before trying to use them in their job or studies.I ran a few of the programs. Most ran fine. (It uses the Communications System Toolbox.) A few had some typos that needed to be corrected. One (QRM_MLD_simulation.m) called a non-existent function convolution_encoder(s); which I could not figure out how to correct.In short, I think this is an impressive book for people who seriously want to learn about MIMO and OFDM.

Very Useful for Research
I have studied this book as part of my PhD research, it has helped me alot. The code examples are good to understand, how to implement wireless communications systems based on OFDM in MATLAB. You should have basic knowledge of communication systems for this book to be effective for you. I would highly recommend this book to people/students doing research in this area.

Good but improvement required
1) Notation must be improved.2) Figures are hard to read.3) matlab code is useful but no associated documentation.4) No need to paste matlab code into textbook pages which is done.BUT OVERALL good book!

Perhaps the one and only OFDM book.
This book helped me understand the foundations of OFDM. As with most wireless topics, theoretical foundations are not easily understood until you carry out simulations and experiments. Just a heads up, some sections of code require work, as they do not yield correct results, but they are easily detected and corrected.

Ok, but..
The contents are exposed in a very clear manner, but the impagination is very poor, expecially regarding the matlab code examples. Pages are super-thin, a feature that can be both good or not: this clearly depends on personal taste.For what it gives, anyway, I find it a bit too expensive.
