Medela Hands Free PIS & pumping bra
I love this pump. I used the previous version of the Medela pump in style and the Spectra S2 as my primary pumps after my first child and this pump is just as effective for me! I get similar output across all three pumps, but I love the hands free parts for this updated pump. I don’t have to consider which bra I’m putting on in the morning because it’ll work with any and it’s really easy to wash and dry! My only complaint is that the battery pack doesn’t work. I put new batteries in, but it stops after a few minutes. It’s the same problem I had with the battery pack with the previous pump in style. It’s not hugely problematic since the plug and cord is plenty long, but would be nice to have in case! I also got Medelas pumping bra with this and LOVE it. It’s the most comfortable pumping bra I’ve ever owned and is super supportive. The fabric is so soft! Overall, I really like this product.

Not worth the price.
I got this pump because it was the brand the hospital used. I EP but not even 2 weeks in the whole motor stopped working. Customer service sent me a replacement immediately so it seemed like this was a common problem. The suction isn’t good and the whole unit is clunky. Even the portable version. I ended up switching to Momcozy M6 and my output was immediately better. Unfortunately my momcozy broke at about 4 months PP and I have to wait for a replacement so I whipped this one out again. A week in and my ducts are soo clogged I can hardly sleep or hold my baby. I had to vigorously massage my breasts for hours to get any use out of this pump. Every-time I pick it up I whisper how much I hate it. But it’s the only thing I got until my Momcozy replacement shows up. Do not recommend. (Also it’s pretty loud and unstable making it extra hard to transport).

“Reliable, Powerful, and Worth Every Penny!”
I’ve tried a few different breast pumps, and the Medela Pump in Style is the one I keep coming back to — hands down. This pump has made my breastfeeding journey so much smoother and more manageable. 💪 Strong, Consistent Suction: It gets the job done fast. The suction is powerful but gentle, and I notice consistent milk output each session. It doesn’t hurt (like some other brands I’ve tried), and I don’t feel like I’m sitting there forever. 👜 Great for Busy Moms: The included tote bag makes it super easy to grab and go. Everything fits inside neatly, and it doesn’t scream “breast pump” if you’re carrying it in public. The portability is a huge plus — especially with the battery pack option. 🔌 Convenient Options: I love that I can plug it into the wall or use batteries when I’m out and about. It’s perfect for moms who need to pump at work, in the car, or wherever life happens. 🧼 Easy to Clean & Reassemble: All the parts come apart easily for cleaning and snapping everything back together takes less than a minute. It feels thoughtfully designed for tired, one-handed moms who don’t have time for complicated gear. ✅ Trusted Brand: Medela has always been solid for me — their customer support is helpful, and you can find replacement parts pretty much anywhere if needed. That peace of mind matters. Final Verdict: If you’re looking for a reliable pump that delivers consistent results, this is it. It’s efficient, easy to use, and mom-life approved. I would 100% recommend it to other breastfeeding or pumping moms!

Disappointed-UPDATED 9.14.24
Update-I was pleasantly surprised when I reached out to the manufacturer and received a new pump under warranty at zero cost to me! Yes, kind of a bother but, it arrived so quickly and works great! I’m so disappointed in this pump. I’ve had it about six weeks and the power cord only works sometimes. I can only hit the power button or it shuts off so that means I cannot change any settings which is very frustrating.

Good hands free pump option
This is a good option for a pump if you would prefer to not have to change into a pumping bras each use. It is easy to use and overall a good pump. It doesn’t have the same portability of a hand free like the Elvie or Willow, but not quite as clunky and limiting like a traditional pump. I would consider this an option for your “main” pump vs a truly portable pump. Pros: Cups are see through so you can see expression Good suction- I found this to be better output than a portable (like elvie) Easy assembly - few parts that make this easy to assemble and wash Cons: Can’t customize pumping per side Can’t see how long you have been pumping Can’t see what level you’re pumping at Difficult to disassemble- I often have trouble when trying to take apart the pieces to wash

DOES THE JOB BUT HARD TO CLEAN - I HATE IT
SO HAPPY TO NOT NEED THIS PUMP ANYMORE! This pump works fine, gets the job done. Never broke or malfunctioned. So it gets 2 stars. This thing is obnoxiously noisy. But it won't wake a baby so that's good I guess. The portable battery thing takes 8 AA batteries!!! And it burns out so quick. It would have been nice to include rechargeable batteries and a charger. The worst part of this pump is all of the nooks and crannies on the cups. IT'S SO HARD TO CLEAN. It's very obvious this was designed by a software to look nice and function but practicality was not taken into account AT ALL. They say you can pump all day with it and only clean it at the end of the day but if you do all the milk fat sticks everywhere and it will take FOREVER to clean it all. What new mom has time for that?? They say you can put it in the dishwasher but AGAIN, what new mom can go 3+ hours between pumps?? Overall, I hate this thing. It did it's job well but because all of the inconveniences added up I'm giving it 2 stars because there's just got to be a better, easier-to-clean design and being cheap and not providing cleaning brushes or rechargeable batteries is just stingy.

I for whatever reason, lactation consultants swear by Medela, and recommend any Medela product over other brands, especially wearables. I have to say, despite this product saying “hospital grade”, it did not do what it claims to do, which is express more milk more quickly. Googling says any pump that can do about 300mm Hg pressure/suction is hospital grade, there is nothing special about this pump. I have used another brand wearable pump for my 6 months journey of exclusively pumping, and that wearable did better than this. For something that is wall plugged and supposedly should have better suction, it expressed LESS milk in the SAME amount of time as my Momcozy wearable. Pro: -Handsfree cups fit nicely in the bra, are very comfortable -ac plug means no recharging -comes with battery pack -collection cups very easy to clean with only 3 parts - dont have to buy duck bill valves so often Cons -have to put it to 9 or 10 to get any appreciable suction to get milk out more efficiently, but it just hurts the nipple and expresses nothing. Yet lower settigs does nothing (despite ensuring all parts are correctly connected/put together) -very loud -collection cups have a max fill line of only 150mL. I have pushed it to 180mL. But hen you have to empty and put it back on -collection cups sometimes arent very evident when parts are not snapped shut, you have to triple check to make sure the membrane isnt folded on itself, and the O ring is snapped shut. -battery pack powered by DOUBLE A BATTERIES? Really? - no indicator lights for which settings you’re on -doesnt empty the breasts properly. I had to pump again with another pump, after running this pump for 1 hr to get everything out. Changing flange sizes did not fix this issue Lactation consultants recommended a hospital grade pump to help increase supply post partum because if it efficiently empties, your breasts receive signals to make more milk more often. This did NOT do that, i would avoid this pump at all costs. If I was given this pump, i would only use it for when i am weaning, meaning - I am only pumping for relief/comfort, not to empty to feed my baby. I could probably rely on this to do such a bad job and not empty, that it would help me wean better than anything else.

The pump does the job and feels like a hospital-grade pump. My wife noticed a significant difference in my milk output compared to other pumps she’s used. The hands-free cups are a game-changer for my wife’s busy schedule, allowing her to move around and get things done while pumping. The motor is a bit noisy, which is a slight drawback, but its strong performance and the ability to use it portably with the battery pack definitely outweigh the noise issue for her.
