Q: Do the colors mean anything? Cosrser, finer, etc.

Blue is very similar to yellow bristle not to noticeable , both medium stiffness . Blue- slightly softer than yellow / yellow medium /green slightly stiffer than yellow most universal colors blue/yellow/green similar stiffness . white - soft like toothbrush bristle/ Red noticeably stiffer than yellow medium hard bristle. white brush is soft like a toothbrush . Yellow brush and Blue brush is a medium stiff. most universal wont scratch. similar to kitchen soap dispenser scrub brush

Yes, actually it works on most everything. I use mine to clean all things even bought an extra drill to keep it going all the time.
