Big Confession?
Volume 22 of Komi Can't Communicate continues the story of shy high school student Shoko Komi and the various adventures she and her friends have. This volume continues with the overseas trip the class is taking to New York City. This particular volume contains chapters 285 to 298 of the series. As is to be expected of this series, I found the artwork in this volume to be good. This goes for all aspects including the vast array of expressive characters along with some great background art as the characters explore New York City, certainly a change from the usual Japanese environments typically expected of this series.I thought that the story in this volume was good that offered some developments in the main story interspersed with the usual humorous moments. One of the main developments in the story is that Manbagi starts to reach a breaking point in wanting to confess to Tadano about how she feels about him, but she is also cognizant of the fact that Komi shares similar feelings, something that really tears at Manbagi.Overall, this was another enjoyable installment in Komi Can't Communicate. If you have enjoyed this series so far, you will likely enjoy this volume.
