Will explode, has no overcharge protection so if you leave it plugged in after it's fully charged the battery will actually swell up and break the device. Mine is almost there, frame rates die off every 10 seconds no matter what I'm doing, even if it's nothing. Boycott GPD for their ignorance!

This thing is great and I love the PSP styling and slide keyboard. The keyboard takes some practice to type on since the device is pretty wide. Love playing my PSP emulation on here. Runs most games just fine and the new AI 370 chipset can run some AAA title games on med/low settings. Controls are really nice and is comfortable to hand hold (doesn't cook your hands like some handhelds), the little mouse nob is easier to use than I thought, and the screen is fairly sharp despite the fact its not an OLED. Only downsides are the battery life, even on low settings can only manage 2-3 hrs (still fiddling with the settings to squeeze more), and the lack of usable ports (only two USB-C): so if you dock with an EGPU and charge with USB then you only have one to plug in devices.

I'm a long time collector of ultra-mobile PCs. This is one of the devices I'm happiest to have in my collection. It's terrific for gaming; 10 years ago I wouldn't have thought we would ever see small handhelds capable of running modern games... but here we are! The Win 4 is also just a fun device to play around with in general; having a full operating system on a device with this form factor is a treat. I should add: The seller was very responsive to my questions and was willing to work directly with the manufacturer (GPD) to see issues resolved.

Device could be great, but I have no clue how to tell. Be wary of seller. I received a clearly returned item, billed as "new". The power cable had marks and the protective film on the screen had been shoddily re-applied (upside down, with bubbles and marks). Decided to test device, and controller inputs were faulty / laggy. So clearly a defective return. Had to return. Shame. In my brief experience, the device seems pretty good from a technical perspective. Keyboard should be considered functional but that's about it. In a test I got to ~30WPM, but I don't see how ergonomically it would work for any extended typing. But for short stuff, passwords, etc, it's good. Surprised by my initial impressions of the audio. Seemed quite good! Screen was pretty good, but nothing to write home about in 2025. Controls felt a bit cramped. but it reminded me a vita, so there's that.
