this is our second water filter system. The size is perfect and the water tastes great once it moves through the filtration. The only issue we had is the filtering speed quickly became extremely slow and water would sit in the top for an entire day before moving through the filter. We did all the things to try to help the filter but ended up buying a new one. I would buy a few extra filters.

The media could not be loaded.  So, I’ve had this Pur water system for a little over a month now, and changed the filter Twice, when according to the package it should be changed every 1-2 months! Well after about a week or two, the filter literally stops working and Does Not filter the water. It would sit in the tower for a day and filter less than a cup of water into the base. I should have listened to my husband and got the Brita system because Pur is a rip off. Don’t buy. I’ve followed the directions to the letter and still the same results. Too late to return so I’ll be using as a watering container for my plants and purchasing a Brita. I’m sorry o bought the replacement filters as well. Waste of money!!

The Dispenser's LED Indicator will sometimes not flash or work, the lever feels extremely fragile in comparison to my hands' ability to push down on it, I have to hold back. Like others have mentioned, the filtration speed is a bit slow, especially if you leave 1/3 of the filtered water in the lower basin. This is likely because gravity cannot push hard enough to fill up the water basin completely in comparison to the heavy filtration method used by the filters. You will always have about an inch or so at the top of the lower basin free of water until you use water.Cleaning the dispenser is pretty easy, I think the lower basin needs to be easier to get access to. Sometimes some of the carbon particles will flow backward out of the filter, and you will see black particles in the upper basin. These will not filter down through the filtration unit however, and should simply be wiped away or removed. The lid gets condensation very easily underneath, so be aware of that when you lift it up if you're worried about the cleanliness of the inside of a refrigerator.The filter that comes with it requires complete submersion in water for a minute or so before it can be used in the dispenser. The PUR PLUS replacement filters are cheaper than their brita equivalents too.

We love this Pur water filter/pitcher. I did a lot of research on the best water filter brand within our price range. We can definitely taste the difference between our water from the pitcher & bottled water. I finally have cleaned water at my exposure without having to spend tons of money on cases of water & using so much plastic! You only have to replace the filter every 2 months and the pitcher has a light to tell you when it’s almost time to change it (turns yellow) and when it’s definitely time to change it (turns red) which is a great accessory. I suggest this to anyone who would like cleaner tasting, healthier water for their family. Takes out all the yucky stuff AND added filtration for lead!

I had one of these for five years. I dropped it and broke the spout and cracked the side. I ordered a new one at once. When it was delivered the box was ripped open and the container was broken. I will order a new one because I loved it so much. My water is so much better

i absolutely cannot drink tap water. the chlorine in water is so funky tasting. i have a different design of faucets in my apartment that i rent so im unable to use the water purifiers that you are able to attach. no adapter will fit. however, that issue lead me to this product!! the filter fit perfectly & it was pretty quick to filter the water once it’s filled & put inside the fridge. the design is perfect so that it doesn’t take up much room & i can just fill my glass. the taste is amazing. you will most definitely taste the difference. i even used the water to make my coffee. my coffee even tasted better. i’m so stinking happy that i’m able to stop buying bottled water. you have GOT to try this out!!!!

The spigot started leaking after just a few months of buying it. There is no way to fix it, and they don’t sell spare parts and now I have to throw all the pitcher away, what a waste! of money and for the environment… disappointing!!!! Don’t buy
