Viking Vistron ED 8x32 Binoculars

Not into all the technical jargon of some reviews but very pleased with the binoculars. Solid, easy to hold and focus, excellent clear bright image, far better than my Nikons at less price. Just what I wanted in a pair of binoculars that I can carry around with ease when walking and have ready when I see something interesting to look at. Deliberately picked the 8 x 42 for a clearer, brighter, wider image that I can easily hold steady.

I bought these as an upgrade to a cheaper 10x28 pair. As you'd expect moving to 42s, there is way more light which makes identification of birds much easier. I read a lot of positive reviews on these about quality and value for money before I bought them. I'm very happy.

Perfect, an upgrade from my viking badger binoculars they seem to suit me very well, great clarity and excellent quality for the price.

These provide excellent vision, even with my slightly strange vision issues. They are a good weight for carrying on long days out. On the flip side the end lens caps come out all the time and I lost one within a week of purchase. The second one has now also gone missing. They are poorly secured. The eye cups are also prone to pushing in when pressure is applied. To get the eye relief, I have to constantly keep turning them back out. In the main these are good binoculars, however the little niggles make me wish I had paid a little more for some slightly better ones.

I bought these for bird watching but also tested them with some star gazing. Very impressed with the clear sharp images - especially good on M44 (the "Beehive" open cluster). Excellent combination of quality and value for money.
