ASTRO THEOLOGY: THE ROOT OF ALL RELIGION

I purchased this book because I thought Maxwell had written it and his author biography is actually on the back of the book but it appears that Colin Rivas was the author. I don't know who Rivas is but I am familiar with who Maxwell was. I don't know if Maxwells name was used to attract attention to the book to increase sales but I do feel it was deceptive to use his name. The book does have good information but it's overshadowed by the feeling that deception may have been used to obscure who the real author was. I don't even know if Maxwell gave this individual permission to use his lectures or teachings. I feel like Rivas is profiting off of Maxwells name and that would be sad, if it's true. This is not a scholarly work because many "facts" have no references given. Such as the quote"scientific research proves this today" page106, or the statement "the entire dimensions of the great pyramid of giza are... encapsulated within the 52 cards of the ordinary playing deck" page 101. There is no explanation how this is so nor a reference given to look it up anywhere. There are many statements like this given in this book. "Fact" are assumed to be common knowledge. It's as if Mr. Rivas read a lot of books and just compiled them into one area and it's up the the reader to figure out how he came to these conclusions. At least he did give references for some of the quotes used which can be a starting point for trying to figure out how he came to his conclusions and it does include a very short bibliography.

I previously purchased the KINDLE E-BOOK, this e-book have many clear beautiful colorful photos that I believe you would enjoy too!So I when I received my paperback copy, "ALL THE PHOTOS are in BLACK AND WHITE"!.The some portions of the pages them like the printer was running out of ink!I was disappointed, so I gave this review of the paperback book 3 stars! Yea, I returned the book for a refund.

Sur la couverture est écrit "ASTROTHEOLOGY, THE ROOT OF ALL RELIGION"... Jordan Maxwell. Sur la tronche : ASTRO THEOLOGY... Colin Rivas. Qui est l'auteur ? Maxwell ou Rivas ? Bon, passons.La page de garde est numérotée ! Suit une copie de la couverture, puis l'INTRODUCTION. En la lisant, on se rend compte que ce n'est pas une introduction, mais une préface (on parle de MAxwell à la 3e personne) qui n'est même pas signée, ni datée.Dans un même passage, l'auteur élude opportunément ce qui ne correspond pas à ses vues : "First, with the exception of Japan, the ancient world mythologies ALWAYS (les majuscules sont de moi) understood the Sun to be masculine and the moon feminine". Sans blague ! Que fait-il de l'allemand où le soleil est féminin et la lune masculin (die SONNE, der MOND) ? Pourtant il doit le savoir, car dans la phrase suivante il fait appel à l'allemand pour soutenir ses théories : "Second, the English language is derived from the German. In the Germanic, the word 'SUN' is spelled 'SONNE'. The two words can (and have been) used (sic) interchangeably".En page suivante (23), il identifie "God's Son" avec "God's Sun" qui (the Sun), en page 25 devient "our Saviour" !J'ai résisté encore jusqu'à la page 28, où il prétend que HORIZON vient de "HORUS RISEN" et "HOURS" de "HORUS".Je me demande qui a pu publier de telles inepties. Surprise : je ne trouve pas d'éditeur. Le livre a été imprimé par Amazon, en Pologne. Pas d'année de publication.Si on ajoute des points manquants après les phrases et des virgules posées entre les sujets et leur verbe, on comprend aisément que ce n'est pas la peine de perdre plus de temps.
