Thick metal, critical design flaws
Just bought this to replace a flimsy mailbox my neighbors and I had out front. The thick metal is good and the special lock/clasp is also nice. There's a gasket to prevent water from coming in the top slot (that the postal carrier uses) but none on the bottom. Because of this, the bottom compartment leaks like a sieve getting all of our mail super wet. Why would they be so cheap as to not include a gasket on the bottom too? There's also a small magnet that helps hold the top door closed but it's only on one side! Again, super cheap decision on behalf of the manufacturer to not include two magnets (one for each side) so it more readily stays closed. My postal carrier now leaves it open so even more rain can get in. Awesome.Going to try to attach my own gasket and a second magnet but if that doesn't work, I'm returning. Please buy any other mailbox - this one isn't worth it if there's any chance it'll get even remotely wet.

Not secure. Huge gap between letter drop and bin.
This has a huge gap between the door and the bin which could easy lead to letters, checks, etc. being fished out of the bottom bin. The manufacturer said it is "very tight", so maybe I received a defective product. I've loaded some photo's showing the 2 5/8" gap between the letter door and the bottom bin. It's the perfect size and color, but I need something more secure and will sadly return it.

Great for letters. A little trouble with magazines.
This is a substantial mailbox. The metal isn't at all flimsy and it feels quite solid. It can hold several days worth of mail, and the way it's designed would make it almost impossible to reach down in to grab anything. This is great for weekend trips.Except, the design also makes it more difficult for our mail carrier to slip in thicker magazines. We come home periodically to find a magazine half-in/half-out of the slot. It's physically large enough to hold several magazines, but the anti-theft design makes it harder to slip them in.

In these days of rampant mail theft and fraud, a standard box just doesn't cut it anymore. Don't bother with the cheap boxes from the discount hardware store that are made of little more than compressed tin foil; I have video of the lady thief who ripped it open with her bare hands. Nice touches to this box include weatherstripping to prevent water from getting in, as well as three laser-cut keys. Laser cut keys were originally a thing on luxury cars, and now they're on this mailbox! So the lock is almost impossible to pick, but don't lose your keys because you can't just take them to a mall kiosk for duplication. Box is made from thick gauge steel to resist prying and cutting. There are two minor criticisms, neither of which warrant deducting any stars. Both of them concern the top door. First, I wish it was internally weighted so that letting go of the handle allows it to close automatically. The way it's currently designed, if your postal person neglects to close it, it just stays open. Not a problem unless it's raining. Second, and this is just paranoia on my part, I wish the handle itself was welded to the sheet metal instead of secured by simple Phillips screws that are easily tampered with. I changed mine to M4-10mm tamper resistant Torx screws.Otherwise, would definitely buy again.

Classy mailbox with a theft-deterrent mail access slot
Classy looking product that has a theft deterrent mail access door most other wall mounted mailboxes lack. Install of the box next to my front door under the eaves was easy. The round security key is far better than the standard lock and keys on other units. Sure, this model was a little more pricey than others, but having piece of mind that it would EXDTREMELY difficult for anyone to extract mail via the top access slot is money well spent in my book. Only issue noted is that the mailman perceived that the box would not contain the large amount of magazines that were delivered one day so left them all on the tray below. The mailman was incorrect as all magazines would have fit (I verified that myself) so the issue is with the USPS and NOT the box itself. No reason why this product won't last for years and years.

Sturdy Drop Box for Indoor Use to Prevent Casual Theft
I bought this for a grade school. It got mounted to the side of a locked closet. It is located in an office with lots of traffic which is not always supervised. This drop box was intended to give us a place for people to drop payments for various school activities, particularly when using cash, so it won't tempt someone to take it out of an open cardboard box that was otherwise used. Quality is good. Plenty sturdy for our intended purpose in the indoor location. Price was best we could find for a similar sort of product. Good price to strength ratio.

Great as a dropbox; not good as a USPS mailbox
As a dropbox, it's a great sturdy product which is why I gave it five stars. As an unauthorized USPS mailbox, it didn't work for me, and based on the description, I had hoped it might.Unfortunately, it works best if you're dropping in one #10 envelope at a time. My mailman's great, but he's not a saint. So this goes back and my search continues. If you need it for keys, single envelopes, etc., I highly recommend it.One magazine can squeeze in, but the second one gets blocked by the first.

I was disappointed
Okay, I returned mine. It arrived bent and the door did not line up perfectly with the frame. So, that turned me off right there. My second gripe was that I expected something more serviceable as a mailbox. This really is, as described more of a drop box. My mailperson did not like the idea of having to use two hands to deliver mail to it, one to open the little door and one to stuff the mail in the not-so-straight slot. Also, despite the box itself being large enough to contain my mail-order prescriptions, when they send multiple bottles of pills in the same mailer, there is no way it's going in that slot and down into the bin. If you have a car dealership and you're expecting your customers to drop off their keys, maybe this would work, but for general mail I'd go with something else.

Expensive, but great value. Better bang for your buck than cheaper ones.
I feel like the belle of the ball with my new steel high security locking wall mounted mailbox! When will the party end? NEVER, because the mail keeps coming. Going to check the mail has now become something that makes me giddy with pleasure. It replaced an ugly old sheet-metal mail box with those loops for the newspaper underneath that were so thin that they got mangled. None of the big-box stores had anything close to this quality, all their mailboxes were overpriced garbage. This thing isn't cheap, but its absolutely solid and the color is bright and vivid. Total unit.

Solid to add peace of mind.
Good size. Holds standard letters and Manila envelopes. Good lock location hidden from attempts with knives or screwdrivers. Doesn’t hold large parcels but then again I don’t want it for that. Nice metal build which would deter a would-be thief to move on to the next house. Sure a crowbar could damage it well but it’s not meant to be a safe. Just a good deterrent and much better than a basic mailbox.

Real solid mailbox / key drop box!
This is a solid mailbox and a real bang for the buck. We’re using it as a key drop off box and it does the job perfectly. I bought the large box and it’s big which is what I needed. Totally recommend it!Pros:- strong material- easy setup- quick delivery- mail slot has a security flap so no one can fish your mailCons:- screws it comes with might not be strong enough- it is heavy (not really con for me as I ordered large box and expected it to be heavy)

Heavy, feels sturdy
The thickness of the metal is greater than expected and feels solid and good quality which it is. Well thought over dropbox down to the included good quality maconnery drillbit and the clear plastic band to protect against rain, although the screws are too short for outside installation, the rocker doorlet not allowing to see the inside bottom which is a good thing. If the doorlet could be a little higher and the box a little deeper it would allow in more small packets, like single average size book in a bubble envelope. I will need a larger more costly dropbox for those. Only a vestibule, a solarium or a garage used as dropbox, accessible with a keyboard lock, access code on address sticker, would be the only permanent solution to avoid sitting parcels in plain view. The difficulty, mentioned in many reviews, is that parcel deliverers seldom use dropboxes, too in a hurry with so many parcels in a day to deliver.

This mail box is sturdy, well made, and hard to steal mail without a lot of noise.
I really like this mail box. It is sturdy, well made, and it would be very difficult to steal or mail without power tools or breaking the mailbox off of the wall. Doing so would take time and make a lot of noise. The only downside I can see is this mail box is narrower than most mailboxes, so some larger envelopes will not fit.
