Form and Fabric in Landscape Architecture: A Visual Introduction

Disappointing Graphics for a book all about graphic communication - its OUT OF FOCUS
Page 4: The Drawings and Their Interpretation: Annotated drawings have equal status with the text throughout the book.....I am sorry, but the typeface or... settings on this publication are terrible. The entirety of THE DRAWINGS are blurry, as a measure of DPIFor a TextbookOn DesignAy Carrumba. I started reading this after my refund date expired.... I still have to read it, and want to but the decision to convey these drawings in the way they are is confounding. Unreadable without eyestrain. Even the resolution/dpi the actual text is blurry, but the font is itself more 'integrated' and therefore 'legible.'Grr. Quality control has been lost to us.This entire book is out of focus

Avoid Routledge edition, get SPON PRESS for better quality
Make sure you don't get the 2013 Routledge paperback which has poor pixelated pictures and text that looks scanned. This book a great VISUAL dictionary and poor quality text/graphics are a serious distraction. I reordered another edition: the SPON Press-Taylor and Francis Group edition, and it has much higher quality drawings and text.

Be wary, pixelated diagrams
As another review pointed out, this publisher is not as good as the original edition. The diagrams are pixelated in comparison to the original book. Very disappointing. I noticed it right away, and even compared it with a copy I had from the library to make sure it wasn't just in my head.

A great reference for a LAs library
Great book for LAs. So many inspiring ideas and explanations of how form can be used to manipulate user experiences in the landscape. I'm so glad I bought it.

Useful
This book has been really helpful. I like Dee's discussion of space using landscape and the drawings are useful.

Great
This is a book for those interested in the practical philosophy of landscape architecture. It is not only the discussion by the author, but also the author's illustrations which reinforce her extremely valuable insights into form and complexity. I use the book as an exercise for sketching. She is right, sketching is perception. I highly recommend this book
