Barnett street plans are very useful for tasks such as planning town and neighbourhood walks and events and door-to-door surveys, etc. — more so than the fussier (and more difficult to read) A to Zs and similar atlases and maps; that is, assuming you are the sort of person who still likes to see a map on paper (which does make it easier to take in an area at a glance than any presentation on screen). And they are quite reasonably priced. It is a pity they don't seem to be available for more of the London Boroughs.
