Soak in warm to mildly hot water before mounting and rotating knob to flatten the plastic when pressed to surface and rotating knob to "draw back" the plastic creating the suction dome.Works very well and I love it! I was worried my handle wouldn't fit or it didn't rotate but it does both very well and is holding firm without slippage. I might buy a second one so I don't have to move this one for other positions.

This arrived with no instructions, so here's how that went.Yes, it's a suction cup attachment, but it uses a screw for tension to lock in the suction cup which took me a few minutes to figure out. I finally got that part straight, had it perfectly positioned, and thought I was done. As I was walking away it fell off the shower wall taking my shower head with it and they both clattered loudly into the tub. Of course this startled me and my dog who felt the need to protect me from... whatever stranger danger that was.When I finally got the barking stopped I was ready to throw it in the trash. I picked up the box to go do that and there, in the bottom, is a clear adhesive sticker (clear sticker + no instructions= hiding) to stick onto your shower wall with a perfectly smooth face to stick the suction cup onto.Instructions are important!I was tempted to give this two stars due to the lack of instructions, and my general aggravation at this point, but I want to be fair and say that it does work. Once you realize the clear sticker is there and that to lock the suction cup down you have to turn counter clockwise it's pretty easy to put up.So while I'm still annoyed at having to figure all that out by myself, I feel like 4 stars is more reasonable.

For the life of me, I cannot make this stay stuck to my shower wall. I never even got the shower into it as every few minutes after applying to the shower walls, I would hear it fall.

Used this to hold my shower wand so the water was lower for my kids to take a shower. My youngest pulled down on the shower wand and it cracked the piece that go across behind the shower wand. The part of the holder though. He barely pulled on it. Other holders were much more sturdy and were easy to release to move. You had to pull apart the suction cup to get it off to move it. Not bad overall but could use some improvement.
