Update #2. Total crap. of the three that worked out of the box (read about #4 below), two of them leaked and are now ruined, despite what I had hoped would be the 'right way' to seal them (again, see below). It's a shame. I liked the effect of the lights under water. Only lasted for about a week. Headed to the garbage now.Update: Welp, that's what I get for writing a review before inspecting everything. I just opened the fourth light, tried to put batteries in it, and discovered that it's not made right. There are no battery contacts for two of the batteries. See photo. 5 star rating dropped to 2 because of this. The others are still working just fine.These work nicely. The suction cups also worked to keep the lights on the bottom of my hot tub. Not terribly bright but at night they light up the tub quite well. Remote works through the water so long as you're aiming right at them and not far from the surface.Just a thought about leaking. When I put batteries in the first one (I ordered a 4-pack) the rubber gasket seal was loose, and when I tightened the lid on, it started to squish out. I expected it would leak. Fortunately I put the second one together, and noticed that the rubber seal sits in a small groove on the lid side, NOT the light side. I took the first one apart and moved the seal to the correct spot. No leaks so far. But if you don't position this seal correctly, I'd expect some leaking at some point.

Love these lights but the battery life is terrible. Great variety of colors and bright. Fades as the batteries die.

Product works well and as intended but you have to remove batteries when not in use as the lights are always on standby and will drain your batteries in a couple of days. Not really practical for my use in the pool where they will always be on standby. Unfortunately this item will not be used. And I am now beyond the return time.

I bought these lights for the pool and they look beautiful.I loved these lights! They're super bright, easy to use since they come with suction cups to attach to the pool walls with the remote, and perfect for stylish decoration. Plus, they're waterproof.

My toddler is in love with these lights. He has an obsession with water and this just enhances hid bathtime. Be sure to have fresh batteries. I made the mistake of using an old set, didn't realize it, but the lights won't work correct. I thought they were junk. I swapped out the batteries and they work great. Connect to remote with no issue and shine bright.

The colors they provide are great and very bright, but these lasted all of 7 days in my house, and 3/4 were not roughly handled in the least. They spent every day submerged for about an hour during bath time, and otherwise remained untouched.All 4 are made of a hard and brittle clear plastic that doesn't seem to provide any shock absorption or an adequate seal when paired with the suuuper thin silicone gaskets that are supposed to keep the water out.The first died from an impact on the tub cracking the clear plastic without me noticing, water got in, killed the batteries and rusted the insides.Seeing what happened we were extra careful with the last three, but one at a time, pretty much the last half of the first week they died from internal water damage one at a time.Careful inspection revealed no cracks or fractures, so I can only assume the seals are faulty or not up to snuff of daily use in the bath tub.These were bought as a replacement for another similar but larger set that used AA's and lasted us years. In hindsight I should have tried harder to find those again because these were a BIG disappointment for my son as a Christmas gift.
