First time using this product, first purchase from Live Bearded... First of all, shipping times are inaccurate - it arrived a week early! Scent: The scent of the butter is light but noticeable - and has lasted through the day. Very clean and masculine smell, not as strong as the Art of Shaving Sandalwood - for some that may detract from the Legend, but not for me. In essence (haha), the scent will be with you all day, but won't be with everyone else in the room. Control/Texture: (of a 2.5 month old, washed daily, lightly trimmed beard that grows curly, thick/stubborn hair that has a tendency to tangle) Compared to Billy Jealousy's "Beard Control" Leave-In Conditioner, The Legend blows it away. The Jealousy works well for control and smell in the morning, but by the afternoon things are unkempt and residue-y despite my best efforts. Had been using Jealousy for about 1 month. Again - I will update this review in a few weeks, but initial thoughts are: wow. This is a game changer - beard looks and feels smooth, not greasy, and of natural color. It's pliable - didn't need to, but tested slightly messing the hair, then combing using a pocket beard comb: back looking like it did in the morning. Overall, very happy with this purchase! Great value for the price, and the company appears to be honest and focused on customers returning to their product line.

I've tried many conditioner products and they tend to increase fly away hairs and are terrible for me. I do also use a conditioner in the shower, and then apply this product after. I've tried oils prior to this and that seems to make things worse. This on it's own after shower seems to do the trick. The scents of this product line are very light which I do prefer. However, I can't give a full five stars as there is another scent, unsure what it is, a waxy smell, that I don't care for. But overall it does the job better than any other I've used.

It doesn't smell bad, but I get zero bourbon scent in it at all. VERY citrus smelling. My kid asked me if it was supposed to smell like Fruity Pebbles. It seems pretty effective, my beard feels softer and more hydrated, but does not appear overly shiny and greasy. It's a good price, but just not really what I was expecting.

The quality of beard butter products is all over the place. I have made my share of mistakes buying less expensive products and it's always wound up in disappointment. Not so with Live Bearded. This is my favourite beard butter by far. I am using it at night for deep moisturising and also as a styling/finishing product during the day. The scent is fantastic. It's priced fairly. Overall, a 10/10 in my book.
