I bought 4 of these in two different colors, averaging $8 per tee. Yes, you can get cheaper brands for maybe $6 a tee, but it's seriously not worth it. Whether you're looking at Hanes or Fruit of the Loom, or even Amazon basics, I don't think any deal beats an American Apparel tee for $8.Just like all of these tees, there is some minor shrinkage after washing and drying. But nothing unexpected, that's just what happens with these tees.

I miss American apparel

My grandson & I both wear the same size, so I buy a set of two when I buy them. We both love the fit, feel, colors & easy care. They wash up very well, the color does not fade & they do not shrink. Too bad they stopped making them in the USA. When they move over seas the price went up & I cannot afford to buy them anymore.

There are actually two versions of this model# 2001 T-shirt2001 is made in the USA. The material is thicker, better grad. Sizes are true, and the quality of sewing and construction is so much better. And of course the price is much more because it's made in USA. Price is also higher, but even after 20+ washes, still feels like brand new!There's also 2001W which is the same type of t-shirt, but 2001W are produced in South America. Using much thinner materials, and of course the construction is much cheaper to produce and why the 2001W is literally half the price of the regular USA made. 2001W's materrial is good, but the color fades after 7-8 washes.

T shirts were soft, and good quality fabric (not too heavy and very stretchy). True to size (for unisex) and color was exactly as expected; a light blue

Reducing the amount of material to save on production costs results in a smaller shirt than what they used to be.These shirts have been my go-to t-shirt for years and years. I’m particular about the lengths of my shirts and these shirts have always been the perfect length, the perfect overall fit and good quality. However, getting low on shirts, I re-purchased 6 of these shirts because they’re my favorite. I was tremendously disappointed to find none of these shirts fit properly now. They are the same size as the ones I have always worn and I washed these no different than the way I’ve washed the others. However, all 6 of these shirts are short AND tight to the point I cannot comfortably wear them. They must have cut corners to cut costs on material. So disappointing. It’s too bad they just lost a VERY loyal customer.

I usually wear a Medium but found this fit better when I bought a Large. Other than that it's a great tshirt and is long like I like them. nice solid brown, and the shirt is good material.

I am willing to pay for the original t-shirt before they changed the design and lowered the quality of the sewing and material. It's not about the manufacturing country - but the decision to drop the brand's quality.

Fits like the old American Apparel stuff but quality isn't as nice.. it's still good but don't expect it to wow you

I am a 5’0” female, 100lbs, and prefer a masculine fit. This shirt is slimming and great in length. Not too tight, just perfect. Material has held up and feels great. Not too baggy. Highly recommend.
