The TP-Link Tapo T310 is a high-accuracy Swiss-made temperature and humidity sensor that requires the Tapo Hub for operation. It delivers real-time updates every 2 seconds with ±0.54°F and ±3% RH accuracy, offers 2 years of free data storage with visual summaries, and runs over a year on a single CR2450 battery. It also integrates seamlessly with other Tapo smart devices for automated home environment control.

Reasonable Price, Extremely easy Setup, Highly Accurate
I've tested a number of temperature / humidity sensors, they all had failed miserably. The TP-link Tapo sensor is awesome, extremely easy to set up (you do need a Tapo hub). I connected it with Alexa and set up a routine to control ventilation fans to the built in refrigerator. It works seamlessly and controls temperature great. I read some negative reviews regarding accuracy, so I tested it against the temperature control inside the refrig, it varied by only .1 degree F. Over the past 7 years I've converted the house to total automation (garage door control via vehicle and phone, smart irrigation of lawn and plants, motion sensing light control, smart HVAC systems, smart outlets, smart light bulbs, smart switches), trying a multitude of brands and throwing away a number of devices that just didn't have the quality or features required. I have refined my system down to Tp-Link / Tapo / Kasa, Tailwind and B-hyve for my home automation.

Excellent indoor environmental sensors
Tapo Hub required. Not a big deal, though, because the hub is cheap. These temp and humidity monitors are not cheap - but the high quality (including the excellent screen) and app-connectivity make it worth it. I find these more consistent and accurate than most cheaper temp and humidity sensors, too. We have four in total. The ability to look at trends in temp and humidity throughout a 24 hour cycle in several places in your home helps a lot with heating, A/C and humidification strategy. No regrets on this purchase, especially as it's a natural extension of the excellent Tapo smart home system we already enjoy.

Excellent Temp/Humidity monitor with large display
The TP-Link Tapo Smart Temperature and Humidity monitor is easy to setup with the Tapo app (free download) and hub (sold separately). The unit has a very large e-Ink display that is clear to see at various angles. Note though that it needs ambient light, since there is no internal backlight for night visibility. Besides the Temp/Humidity there is also a small battery indicator useful for preventing unexpected outages. In the Tapo app the sensor shows not only the current values but also a plot of Temp/Humidity vs. time for checking how the room climate is changing with time. Additionally, a comfort zone (min/max T and R.H. values) can be defined in the app, so that the app sends push notifications when the room climate is out of the comfort zone.As part of the Tapo smart system, the Temp/Humidity monitor can be used to set up smart actions with other Tapo devices, such as switching a Tapo switch on/off to control a fan or small space heater based on room temperature variations. Overall the TP-Link Tapo Smart Temp/Humidity monitor is an excellent addition to smart home automation projects.

A cool sensor that fits well into the Tapo Ecosystem
This unobtrusive little thermometer/hydrometer is perfect for keeping an eye on my Montana mountain home when I am away for the winter-- that's my plan, anyway. When I was renting it out, the house ran out of propane when it was between tenants, resulting in pipes freezing and $50k worth of water damage. I'm not going to let that happen again. I've just ordered a Tapo smart door lock so I can let someone in remotely should the need arise. The Tapo IoT ecosystem is excellent-- they don't force you to buy a subscription to basic functionality out of your gear like ESeeCloud or whatever they are calling themselves now. The Tapo app displays the temperature and humidity in a nice 24 hr graph, which converts to a high/low bar graph when viewing monthly or annual data. I wish you could view historical data in the 24 hr graph format but that doesn't appear possible at the moment. I wondered why it was necessary to use The Hub with this device but it just occurred to me: for non-camera devices, the data storage requirements are small. The hub allows to you have multiple thermometers, water (leak) detectors, etc., that share the same memory device-- no need to buy SD cards for every device, just buy one (big) card for the Hub and you are good to go.

Great for tracking outdoor temps (green house, garage, service porch, livestock)
I love TP-Link products. On whole I have been using them for 20+ years, and have had a very good performance and endurance of each TP-Link product from lightbulbs, outlets and switches, to Wi-Fi extenders, and now sensors. I like these TP-link tap sensors better than Ring's hub based sensor, because tapo are easier to install and maintain, and seem to perform much more consistently. I have this particular model in my covered poultry run (chicken house) and I find it to be very accurate. The only hiccup was that one of the three tapo sensor I received had a CR2450 battery that immediately needed to be replaced. But the other two tapo sensors same with good batteries.

Finally a full ecosystem of smart switches triggered off temp/humidity, great OLED contrast
Love how it's now very affordable to buy into an ecosystem that enables automation triggered by temperature and humidity. I have 2 TP-Link Kasa plugs attached to a heater and a humidifier respectively and one of these + a hub was all I needed to get smart switches to actually behave smartly and keep my child's room within a temperature and humidity range. The OLED screen has wonderful contrast, compared to my Govee hygrometers that I owned prior and now use as a comparison to see how accurate they are. They match each other within 0.2-0.3 F / 1 % humidity. Time will tell how long they last but I fully expect them to last as long as they say they will.

Humidity seems to be inaccurate
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Was looking forward to using smart actions based on the humidity and temperature readings from this sensor but the humidity seems to be way off. I purchased other sensors from thermpro and acurite and decided to place them together for comparison. The tapo sensor displays a way higher humidity. Aside from that the numbers are easy to read, app paring was fast and the temperature was accurate. That being said, the unit will be returned.
