It is as responsive as the original Lloyd Remote.Please read the seller description carefully and make sure the buttons in the remote in the product listing *exactly* matches the original remote - not almost, exactly. Also there are some trouble shooting instructions provided if the remote doesn't respond initially - those are also quite helpful.I expect it will easily last a couple of years or more.
