This strap worked so well and somehow looked so attractive even though it was just plain navy blue. Only issue was remembering to take it out of the carry-on and use it. There wasn’t a good way to keep the strap on going through security or on the plane. Then it is a bit chaotic putting all your personal items back on, getting through the masses of people and airport internal transportation. By the time we stopped long enough/remembered to get the strap out, we were at the gate already. At least we remembered to use it during every layer over and leaving the airports.

Overall, the strap worked well. However, the mini is definitely short. I was using it for my laptop bag and it did work, but had to extend it all the way out and stretch it as far as possible. It then squeezed my bag pretty aggressively. Being so short, it is a little tedious to get it to latch, so I don't use it for quick airport stops, but it was nice not to have to carry my laptop during longer layovers. It is also important to note that it is not possible to stow the rolling bag handle with the strap in position, so either the roller or the bag being attached needs to have a place to stow the strap when not in use. My roller has a small zipper pocket right near the top that works well for this use. I also keep a bright ribbon in the same pocket that I can tie to the handle to quickly identify my bag if I need to gate check it.The buckle works well and is easy to release, even under tension, but does not easily accidentally release.

My daughter in law loves it!

I had picked up an original, but I wanted to try the smaller one to see if it will work on my motorcycle ( I can clip my bag to the back seat) and I'm loving it still. The locking mechanisms all metal like on the original with a satisfying click when you put it together. You'll see in the picture that it fully anodized with the logo on the leather tab. Everything looks great! Got it in 3 days.

Ordered the mini for a trip to see my daughter in Alaska! Won’t travel without it again. 6500 miles with ease!!!!!
