Work Great for Root Removal
After a tree fell down in my front yard, I needed to clean out the ton of roots left behind. Fortunately, most were surface roots but some were 5" in diameter. After working for hours with shovels and 9" blades, I bought these to get better grip on the bigger roots. I couldn't be happier with these blades. After working through numerous roots (and, surrounding dirt of course), replaced the first blade just to maintain sharp cutting. Went through the 50+ roots with little problem. I wasn't terribly careful with blade placement yet they stayed sharp enough to work and never felt like a blade would break, even when wedged in at an angle.

Good product
When I had some small trees to remove on my property, I decided to give these a try in my Rigid AC-powered recip saw instead of buying a chainsaw. They cut very well, lasted longer than I expected, and the price was excellent. Recommend

Good product - great value.
Worked well to cut tree roots in conjunction with using a trencher. A vey torturous job for a blade!!One blade lasted for 150 feet of trench clearing pecan a pine roots from large mature trees. A real nasty job for the blade considering the clay and sandy grit interfering with the normal operation.Very satisfied with this product.

Cut well and clean
Great price! So far they look like they'll stay sharp quite a long time barring hitting hidden metal. I think these could be used for cutting small beams [ 4x4 to maybe even 8x8 ] with some degree of accuracy depending on the operator.

12" Blades Worked Well on Sago Palms and Roots
-Bottom Line Up Front - I would recommend these blades to a friend.-I selected them due to their lower price (than other more expensive name-brands) for performing my pruning and Sago Palm tree/stump removal knowing any blade would likely wear out/destroy any blades relatively quickly.-IMO these Worked Very Well using 3 of the 5 blades to completely remove multiple Sago Palms, clusters and roots WITHOUT BREAKING.-The blades were surprisingly flexible and not brittle which worked great making cuts at the Sago clusters and to get at the roots at the base of the Palms.-I found they worked better at a moderate tool speed and moving the recip saw up and down in the Sago cuts rather than a straight cut through likely due to the texture/hardness of the Palm trees.-Did it take a bit longer to remove these Sago Palms than using a higher-priced name-brand blade? Maybe...but I wasn't in a hell-fire hurry.

Excellent blade!
So only reason I bought these was because of the price point. I used it to help my cut down a large maple tree and I am only on the first blade. I cut up to 15" diameter limbs; yes it took time but going slow is the key for large limbs. When cutting green trees, I would suggest using a corded sawzall instead of battery operated; as the prolonged use kills the battery.I also used it to cut large shrub roots under the ground. It performed the same as the Diablo blade.

Not aggressive enough!
I bought these blades because they were the cheapest I could find. My intent was to cut up one fallen limb in my front yard. The limb is quite large, knocked down by high winds and some historic rot. It's probably 12" x 8" at the base, and 6" at the "small end." It doesn't get smaller, because I cut the 6" end with my pruning saw some years back.Anyway, the job was/is to cut this 1-1/2 ton wooden giant into manageable pieces, so I could hide them in my backyard for a few years until they become firewood or something.I bought the "el cheapo" blades because I figured I would only do this once. I haven't needed these blades in 25+ years at this location, and if it takes another 25 years, I'll buy another set of blades then.Sadly, these blades might be able to cut through mustard, but they don't cut THE mustard. The blades are 12" long, as described. They fit into my DeWalt corded recip saw no problems. They just don't cut.The blades are very 2-dimensional. I suspect they are stamped out as part of the manufacturing process, and then some kind of sharpening-fu is applied to give them a bit of an edge. But the teeth of the blade are not "set". (The "set" of a saw is the amount to which the teeth angle out from the plane of the saw blade. A good pruning/woodcutting saw will have a wide, aggressive set to chew through soft wet wood quickly.)The result of this is that you can slide the blade over your pants and not worry about it snagging. But you can't run the blade over wood and expect it to cut very fast.I tried the blade on a few 1" thick branchlets, and it cuts through those with a short delay -- it's still not quick, but it does work.I think you could use this for "light pruning." But why would you want to use a 12" blade for light pruning? That's what a 4" blade is for! I want this blade to do some serious work, and sadly it just isn't up to the task.Note: I have had no problems with breaking or binding. My target wood is on the ground, and I'm working on my knees - everything is nice and stable. So I can't say one way or the other if these will handle binding, or if they are prone to excessive binding.Even if you are like me, in a "use once" scenario, I cannot recommend these blades. I think I need to look for some more expensive blades with a nice aggressive set, maybe just one-blade-per-order or something. Lesson learned.

Job Done and Then Some
Solid Product, does wear down over 1-2 projects but the length is very helpful. Mind the blade does bend under too much pressure but if you can let this blade slowly work through with some guiding pressure than it'll chew with ease through the challange. Having multiple blades makes up for all the down falls, overall value is worth it, and I've used it for pruning and cutting off significantly large/thick branches, it gets the job done. I recommend.
