A little background: my husband and I live with two large-ish dogs in a one-bedroom basement apartment with no central air and baseboard heat, in the DC area, where winter means the windows and doors stay shut and we have ZERO air turnover until the spring temperatures bless us with the ability to open the apartment up. The whole thing is carpeted and let me tell you, by February or so, the apartment becomes impossible to keep smelling nice - there's just way too many bodies and way too little air circulation. I vacuum like a madwoman, bathe dogs, clean linens, you name it, all on a regular basis, but I'd had enough this year. I got tired of smelling dog. I saw the positive reviews for this unit and thought, shoot, for the price, I may as well give it a shot. It arrived - I assembled it and plugged it in out in the hallway, which is one of the worst offenders in the apartment (lots of traffic, narrow space, and nowhere near any source of fresh air). 15 minutes later and there was a NOTICEABLE difference! Apparently (and this was such a "duh" moment for me) activated carbon filters really are the way to go. I literally went right back on Amazon and bought two more and they've been running 24/7 since - one in the bedroom, one in the hallway, one in the living room. The difference is phenomenal. The filters are not cheap - I anticipate just spending $18/mo on the three-pack, keeping the units running constantly and considering it money well spent. I am so happy coming home now and not getting hit with a wave of stale dog air. On the practical side - the units are not small for plug-ins, but not intrusive by any means. They are designed well with the weight evenly distributed so they rest nicely against the wall and don't slip out even with our older outlets that have lost some of their 'grabbiness' over the years. They are easy to assemble (just unwrap the filter, fit it into the cover and snap the cover on). There's a little dye spot that gradually soaks an indicator strip to give you an idea of the remaining lifespan of the filter. They are audible when running, but not at all bothersome - it's very low-level white noise. They include a scent clip-on, but I found the scent unpleasant and chose not to use them; if I want a scent, I'll use a wax warmer. Honestly, I'm just really impressed with how well these little things work. We put one in each room, and now our poorly-ventilated apartment smells like the doors are open in the spring or fall, even in the middle of winter. 100% worth the cost!

I bought and returned several other products and am so thrilled I found this one! It does what it says and is easy to install and travel with if needed. I have to travel with two cats sometimes, and I just throw this in my bag and plug it in wherever I go. I have used this product in spaces of 800 square feet or less and it does a good job. It does make a bit of noise. The noise is not at all loud and you would not notice it if, say, your AC/Heat were running. My cats are not phased at all by the sound. The pop in freshener is easy to install and has a very light scent.

I ordered this product to hopefully help with odors in the hallway from someone who vapes and smokes in the house. They generally do this in their room, but of course the odors leak out through the door into the hallway, and I really hate having to walk by and smell it. We already have 2 big air purifiers running in the house, but they are not really located close enough to the door in question to make a big difference very quickly or at all. I was hoping that this product might help that along. Overall, I think it does a pretty good job. I did not want something that generated ozone, so it fit that bill nicely. The scent clip on that came with it smelled nice up close, but I honestly don't really notice the scent in the hallway where this runs. That's really okay because I didn't really want a scent at all. I just used it to use it up. This thing runs pretty quiet. It might be more noticeable in a small room, but in the hallway, where you can hear the A/C running and TVs and other household notice, I sometimes go just to check and make sure it's still running because it is so quiet. The hallway is a pretty small space because the doors of all 3 bedrooms in that hallway are generally closed. This is located at the outlet closest to the door of the smoker, which is right across from a bathroom. So I'd say in general, it's working on a small hallway and a small bathroom altogether. It does a good job of removing odor, but it doesn't do it very quickly. It used to be that when this person smoked or vaped in their room, then opened the door, closed it again, and left for the day, the smell would linger in the hallway for at least a couple of hours. It does not linger nearly as long anymore. If I was to guess, I'd say it clears out the smell in 30 minutes to an hour. I haven't timed it, so I can't really be exact, but it's a heck of a lot faster than before. If they smoke, the smell is a lot more overpowering, and I sometimes have to help it along with some kind of scented spray or something. Don't expect it to work any miracles at this size and power. But it can definitely help make a difference in a small area or right next to something that causes odor (for example, a cat litter box).

These little things are wonderful for litter box odors. Will buy again

I'd rate it 2.5, but can't. Got it for the small space where I keep cat wc, which doesn't have any windows or other ventilation. It helped for about a day, and then it wasn't really doing anything anymore.

I was skeptical about this little machine, but pleasantly surprised by the results. I have a neighbor who chain smokes and the smoke seeps into my bathroom. I use this to prevent any odor. It handles the job quite well. It also rids the bathroom of any pooping odors. There is also a small cartridge with it that supplies a pleasant scent, but it does not last long. You can buy more if you like. I put scented oils on the filter which scent the room. Even without any scents, it functions very well. The replacement filters are easy to get and inexpensive. I am not sure how it would work in a larger space. Very pleased with this purchase.

Es un purificador muy compacto, para el precio y tamaño funciona muy bien, además de eliminar olores me ha servido a controlar un poco mi alergia a los pelos de mascotas, hace un poco de ruido pero te acostumbras rápido, el filtro dura aproximadamente un mes y lo uso todos los días a todas horas

Buen producto que cumple con lo que promete, de hecho lo estoy utilizando en este momento después de casí 6 meses de uso y funciona muy bien, recomiendo comprar filtros y fragancias de repuesto, es mejor hacer un gasto y después dejar de preocuparte, en realidad lo recomiendo mucho, espractico y no estorba, yo lo uso en las noches y despierto con un hambiente en mi cuarto mucho mas fresco y limpio se siente en el aire.

It's a little large but to be expected for something to have a fan and filter and move the air efficiently enough to filter surrounding air. Works well in our space of 48sq/ft but shoes can leave and Odor and this does clean the air. I don't smell the mix of freshener and odor, just the subtle freshener! We're happy!
