Smith is a man trapped in the 1970's. He is the literary equivalent of a fondue set or a Raleigh Chopper.His world is one where young couples are called "Brain" and "Edna", and the men smoke pipes.His work is like that we used to write in Primary school as kids. Full of impossible nonsense. Where scientists procure the Sperm Whales on a whim to hunt giant squid.He may be the worst popular writer of all time, but he's also awesome. (-:

Like stepping back into my teens,Smith ,Hutson,Herbet ,the unholy three,all great writers but Guy n Smith was the man for gore and sex and giant crabs and ex priests sas demon hunters and tons of quick read pulp horror ,he was a master of his craft and will be sadly missed.

A brilliant collection of horror stories that will keep you on the eve of your seat, guy n Smith is one of my best LOVED writers. A good scary book.

I accept that no one ever read Guy Smith for subtlety. He was the master of the trashy horror novel for a reason. But even by those standards, I found this brief collection to be crude, amateurish and misogynstic in the extreme. Sorry, but that sound I heard was the people who put this book together scraping the bottom of the barrel.
