Ice seems to melt too fast, even in a cold drink.
The ice maker is great. Makes ice faster than I thought it would. Ice is a little too small, because it melts pretty fast. Otherwise, it is a great little item to have around.

Good for it's purpose
It took me a while to like this. Now, I like it.My complaint at first was that the ice cubes seemed barely below freezing so they melted too fast. The machine is insulated but not cooled. The ice melts back into the water reservoir over time. There is no scoop holder. Ladt, I was worried about cleaning it or getting build-up that could give the ice a bad flavor. What I learned is that I don't need to clean it. It is self cleaning. I just keep my hands clean and I don't ever put anything but clean water into the reservoir. The ice cubes on top are coldest. When I scoop those, they hold up all day in my thermos. When I make shakes, the ice cubes crush better, not chunky, versus ice from my fridge ice maker. This is the best use of this machine. I am trying to stay healthy, and this is a big part of making my breakfast better. I have a BlendJet, and there are unlimited free recipes for smoothies on the internet.

My first ice maker
My refrigerator ice maker broke and thought going this route instead because it being less expensive. This is my first ice maker and really like the compact size. It’s mostly plastic so hope the build quality lasts. Very easy to operate and so far I like it. It is a little loud but doesn’t bother me but make ice cubes during the day when I’m home.

Surprising
We bought this as we are starting to full-time in our RV and get frustrated with lack of freezer room when trying to keep and maintain a steady stream of ice cubes. This little machine is easy to use and to clean and as far as I’m concerned, well worth the money. I initially frowned on such a product but was convinced by my other half and absolutely love it. Will run it for a couple hours in the morning fill up a bucket full of ice then repeat. We do use filtered water, not tapwater. I don’t know if there’s a difference so far no issues with leaking, functions great and is quiet The amount of ice it makes is dependent on the amount of water you put in, but when you fill to the max line, that’s quite a bit of ice output as it cycles thru.

Countertop ice maker is life changing!
My husband and I debated about getting one for months, we are so glad we did!It holds about a quart of water and makes bullet shaped ice. It makes it super quick and fills rather quickly. We freeze a lot of foods so we don’t have room in our freezer for ice trays. We used silicone ones to help save space but then they would just get squished. We purchased this ice maker and everything changed! We now use it daily, even in winter. We drink more water because of it. I keep a reusable water bottle on me daily and at work and I love this because I drink more water when it’s cold.It is also helpful when I need ice when making pickles and such. I just add ice as it is made to help keep things cold.We usually keep a gallon water jug next to it so that it is easy to refill. It keeps the ice cool not cold, so it will melt into the reservoir and when there is too little ice it kicks in to make more. I like this feature so I don’t worry about the mechanism freezing up.The bonus is the little ice scoop so that it prevents dirty fingers getting into the ice and water. This helps keep the water reservoir clean so that nothing gets lodged in the tubes. We use the auto cleaning method once every few months and it is simple, runs itself then I just drain the water into the sink and start again.

One year life span
So I've had the ice maker exactly one year, and it did a good job together year, but in the past couple months the cleaning cycle just didn't do a very good job anymore and I started getting black sediment. I ran vinegar a few times but in a week it just got kinda gross again. Then it just gave up. The lights come on, but it won't run. I feel an appliance at this price point should last longer.

This works great!
Wanted to try a bullit icemaker without paying a fortune. Found this, bought it, tried it and now love it! It arrived, I followed the directions, filled the water tank and let it go. When the ice bin was full, I emptied the made ice into a bin in my freezer. By the end of that first day, my freezer bin was full. Now i just turn it on to replenish my freezer bin as needed. This ice structure has more surface area so it chills drinks faster. While I do not recommend chewing ice, the culprits in my house enjoy this ice. I was not bothered by the making noise, actually quieter than my full fridge's icemaker. Footprint on counter is smaller than my coffeemaker. Great price, I added the extended warranty, so no worries! I recommend this icemaker for those who want fun ice without the high price!

Much too difficult to drain!
The ice is OK, a bit smaller than I would have liked, but I can live with that. The machine is a bit noisy, OK...I can live with that....what I hate about this ice maker is that the plug you are supposed to open to drain the old water (when you need to do so) is next to impossible to get opened. The machine is too heavy to lift it and pour the water out.....but every time I attempt to pull the plug I struggle, and sometimes I just give up. I am afraid to use a pliers or other tool to open the plug since it is rubber, I don't want to tear it-but for this reason alone I wish that I had purchased a different ice maker.
