Product ok, but the little knob had fallen off in shipping, wife almost lost it in the packaging. I was able to tap it gently back into position, it just sort of pushes-in. Otherwise, its a nice little pocket vernier. Use it for measuring bolts and other things that are all metric now. The dual scale is a nice feature.

For my daily use, accuracy, and appearance it is good for the price. Looks nice and is durable. No rough edges or burrs around the outside. The slide appears to have been ground out with a CnC, which IMO is better than being stamped. The vernier is good for metric but not inches. You'd need to measure in metric and convert to inches in that case. No batteries needed, so it will work after the apocalypse. . which is handy when measuring the gaps in your roach traps when searching for sources of food.

When I received this product, I was pleased with the fact that it was brass. It would last me forever, I thought.After I opened up the package and started to test the caliper, I was in dismay that the tolerance between the two "halves" of the caliper was so great that the caliper would not even stay on the measurement that I had just performed. The halves just flopped around, almost as if they were not even meant for one another. I thought to myself, "I can just take the measurement, then hold it real level and steady to read the instrument reading." Then reality hit and I thought "BULL CR@P!" Why would I buy a "precision" instrument just to be sent a hunk of junk? And WHY would I want to use this day after day, year after year?? Nope . . .I returned this product. I would HIGHLY recommend that you don't waste your time with this caliper. I cannot imagine that anyone interested in making accurate measurements would want to waste their money on this.STAY AWAY !

I love this caliper. The cheap plastic one that came with some tools always had me frustrated because it was so hard to use and slid awkwardly. This caliper is made in such a way that holding it does not interfere with its function and it slides open and closed easily. Very useful for sizing beads, etc. Very happy with this purchase. Worth every penny.

This tool is crude but works really well for what it is. To anyonbody looking for precision be warned this is a reference tool at best!!! On that note; anyone complaining about this thing was silly to think that an 8 dollar tool would be precise, heavy duty, or of a high quality craftsmanship.

Wow very nice solid brass well made, i use mine mostly for carpentry its easier to tell the dimension of smaller materials, or thinner. You think you got 1/4inch but its really 3/16. And sometimes its hard to read on a tape measure especially if accuracy is important. This is solid feels good in the hand the slide is a litte stiff but it needs to be, it slides smooth and will get better with use. Lost my original many years ago this is an excellent replacement

Accuracy of about 0.1mm for mm scale with auxiliary Vernier markings. Realistic use up to 11cm, or 4 1/4 inch. Extending the caliper out further does not give enough support for middle part from rail to ensure precise measurement.

Works find for my purposes. It is a little stiff when you slide it, but it works. I'd rather it be stiff and hold the spot when measuring than too loose.

Lovely quality .... feels like a decent instrument and seems accurate ...Good for quick measuring without bulk of digital equipment .

Ich hatte den kleinen Messschieber für meinen Sohn gekauft. Leider ist die Qualität absolut (!!) ungenügend.Das Material (schlechte Messinglegierung) ist dermaßen dünn und weich, dass es sich schon beim Auspacken verbiegt. Dazu schlecht gefräst und mangelhaft entgratet. Das ist nicht "Retro" das ist einfach schlecht. Ein weiterer Gruß aus China, der hier als Teil einer Müllawine von nicht zu beziffernden Ausmaß ankommt.Ganz klar: Nicht kaufen. 80 Cent wäre noch zu teuer. Schone Deinen Geldbeutel und Planeten. Lieber Mituyoto, Mauser, Helios, oder Ähnliches gebraucht für den gleichen Preis kaufen. Oder gleich mehr anlegen.

Kleiner als erwartet, was mich aber sehr freut! Klarerweise ist das kein hochpräzises Werkzeug für den Bau, aber um mal schnell Schraubdurchmesser zu messen ideal. Ab der 5cm Marke verliert der Messschieber leider an "grip". Dadurch verschieben sich die beiden Einzelteile beim Messen leichter. Mich stört das nicht, denn ich werde selten über 5cm mit dem Ding messen. Sieht sehr schick aus und ist schön leicht.

So ein kleiner Messschieber ist ideal für bestimmte Messarbeiten, z. B. Lederdicken, Schraubendurchmesser usw. Die Messscala ist deutlich eingestanzt und man kann die Messung gut ablesen. Das Material macht einen sauber geprägten Eindruck, die Oberfläche ist poliert und das gesamte Messinstrument ist hinreichend stabil und liegt gut in der Hand.

Ich habe gleich für meine Kollegen auch je einen bestellt! Wir müssen unter Anderem auch Materialwandstärken kontrollieren! Klein und handlich und für unsere Zwecke ausreichend genau! Eine passende kleine Hülle wäre noch besser!Lieferung top!
