I bought this to replace what looks like the same model that came unfastened and lost the spring. It’s got a nice finish, it’s sturdy, metal components. Only complaint is there is a metal piece that goes inside for the thumb button that may need to be shortened depending on the door thickness. According to the directions I should have taken off one square from the metal bar but this was near impossible. It seems to work just fine without shortening it in my case though.

This works great. Holds the door while I turn my chair (have to back out this door) and I can get turned back around and situated before closing the door. Wish my back door had a place to install one of these. I would put it up in a flash.

Again, I should’ve measured realizing that there are measurements on the handle. I’ve been married for 35 years and I’ve not had to do these kinds of things. My husband works out of state now for six months at a time, so it’s on me.
