These are good quality, nicely-sized 'gems'. Their surface is reasonably scratch-resistant and has a good, translucent clarity; the red colour is deep and consistent between all the gems.My primary use for these was to attach them as decoration to the attire of a mannequin whom I have turned into a Demoness. They make a very appealing addition for her.Depending what materials I was attaching them to, I used either a cyanoacrylate superglue to place them on PVC, fibreglass and such smooth surfaces, but for softer, plusher fabrics, I relented and used strong double-sided tape - applying it first to the individual gems, then onto the fabric. (With either method, always try to have a hard, flat surface under any flexible material when sticking the gems on).I had a little difficulty in installing one onto a web of chains as part of the Demoness' ornate necklace, but this was solely due to a pitifully small amount of actual contact points between the surfaces. In struggling to find a solution, I dropped the gem. It got a nasty scratch across its backing.Be aware that any scratch on the backing WILL be visible through the clear front of the gem. This vexed me for some moments until, noting that it was a straight line, I added some more lines deliberately, thickened them and made a pentagram design, which, when the gem was finally attached to the necklace, looks actually rather good. I'd like to pretend that it was entirely deliberate all along. But it's a good method for customizing the gems with simple patterns on the reverse side.(Could also scratch the entire backing off carefully and install an LED behind the gem, depending on your project - haven't tried that yet).Also - in a moment of putrid insanity - stuck two of these to the head of a weird mutant creature prop I'm working on and, with a little bit of resin moulded around them and painted in, they make startlingly good eyes for the thing.Normal people, such as I'm not, may find them useful for making brooches and that sort of thing.As for attaching them to clothing to be worn, how well they stay put would depend entirely upon what material you stick them to and what you stick them with.Plus - a bonus point is that the gems come in a sturdy, plastic, hinged box which, when empty of gems, can serve as a good container for small hobby tools, bits of braids and trims, pens, pencils, etc, etc.A good resource for serious hobbyists.

I love to get creative and try out new crafts. When I saw these, the endless possibilities flashed before my eyes and I just had to try them. This pack is excellent value for money, and getting 30 stones means they will last a while to come. The rhinestones are much bigger than I thought they would be too, and they are very well made. Although they are resin they look just like gemstones, and the reflective highly polished surface makes them look precious. I would have liked them to have adhesive backs though, as you have to use very strong glue with them in order to apply them to surfaces when you get crafting. Other than that though, I can't fault them, and I can't wait to get creating. I highly recommend trying them.
