A Child's Introduction to Egyptology: The Mummies, Pyramids, Pharaohs, Gods, and Goddesses of Ancient Egypt

I got this for my 7 year old who was so interested in ancient Egypt. Great book for kids to learn, great pictures and has the alphabet in Egyptian hierogliphs, which she thought that was super cool.

Purchased for my 8 year old grandson. Loved the book. Was thrilled with the hieroglyphic section of the book.

This is an excellent book for kids - and adults will learn quite a bit too! Some of the content might be a too confronting for younger readers, but its really well presented for older kids.

My 5 year old told me she wanted to learn more about ancient Egypt so we got this book. I am super impressed. It was everything I was hoping for and more. It has a really good level of detail without being too much or losing her attention. The drawings are great. It does a great job of breaking down and explaining all kinds of things that continue to fascinate us today - as well as explaining how people in Egypt lived and what life was like. And huge bonus - they have many fun activities to do scattered throughout the book like making papyrus or mummifying an apple. My 8 year old loves it too. Highly recommend!!
