Tam Dao Eau de Toilette 50ml by Diptyque

This is definitely more "male" than "female"....not sure how people explain it as unisex, but whatever. It smells GREAT, but is not overpowering. Truly a heavenly Sandalwood creation with slight hints of Amber and a touch of vanilla/clove but not too much. Very woodsy and "dry" smelling. I ran thru the bottle quickly, as i used it everyday. Very worth it! Heard of this product on a blog called "Base notes" about scents and after shave stuff. It's going on my Xmas list this year!

I've noticed that this smells great on others but something doesn't seem right on me. :(. I've even smelled it later on my scarfs and have lived the smell but something isn't right with my bodies chemicals. Oh well!!

I've veered away from most commercial scents due to chemicals and overpowering olfactory sensation. I found Diptyque's scents are perfect for perking myself up and not having my scent enter the room first or linger. This is light and airy enough to wear to work and by end of day, I refresh with a couple sprays. I received a couple compliments since purchasing it..."What are you wearing?" or "You really smell great." It's a eau de toilette, so it will not last you the entire day, but it will not knock anyone out around you. A full bottle purchased in late May will get me through until most likely mid-to-end of August with daily use. It seems like a very straightforward sandalwood, like the kind you'd smell in a higher-end aromatherapy tincture bottle. I like that it's woodsy and light, not too overly feminine.

Dyptique is a well known brand among people who like candles. Well its cologne is as good as its candles. You need to spray and wait for 5min before you can really smell it for what it is. it lasts for a while on you. I collect colognes. I have Christian Clive, 10 different comme de garcons, etro, yoshi yamamoto, gucci, chanel, dior...and others. Tam Dao is definitely able to keep up with them

a beautiful perfume - very much like Indian spices. I love all of the Diptyque range so you cannot go wrong with Tam Dao. I often receive complements about this perfume as it is unusual.

Not as masculine as I taught. Very neutral and sweet. If you like wood based fragrances go for Wonderwood by Commes Des Garcons and you'll be very happy.

I purchased this largely based on the reviews that this was similar to Gucci Rush. It has notes of patchouli, smoke, sandalwood, and cedar. I really like the fragrance but it doesn't have that high citrus note that Gucci Rush used to have (before the discontinued it). I'm rating it 4 stars because it isn't as good as advertised or as reviewed if you're comparing it to Gucci Rush. The sillage is very small (I'd say a foot or less). The duration is probably 3 hours of lasting fragrance before it wears off. If anyone knows of something that smells closer to Rush and is available, please message me.

Great scent for all year! Wish I could find the shower gel!
