Another brilliant book well written and a great cast of characters and story line absolutely loved it I couldn't put it down loved it

I enjoyed the characters and the story but some of the sentences didn't make sense and I must admit that I would have went after Lance a lot quicker but all in all it was an alright read.

Couldn’t put this book down! Hooked from start to finish. Characters are likeable & relatable, really well written. Not cheesy like some romance books can be, realistic wording & great storyline. Can’t wait for the next one!

This story reminds me about my life millions years ago, made me feel the time and people I long have forgotten. It was funny and tearful and so interesting. It's such a great book!

I almost gave up on this book as I found it slow and at times difficult to get into. I am glad I didn’t because the end was definitely worth waiting for.

I was looking forward to this book, having previously met Mark and Jess in the Alex Drake series although you don't need to have read them to enjoy the book. I loved the way the story developed embracing issues from a longer period to help make sense of where characters are. There was something that could have been dealt with directly between the main characters, although the reader definitely understand the reality. There were some issues that pulled at the heartstrings, but also other story threads that made it hard to put down.I liked the way family was important, although there were also some challenges that went with that but the love was evident. The calling in of the big gun in the form of Mark's mum made me smile, Mrs D is a great character.The impact of military service was evident, but handled sensitively. The inclusion of the challenge that amputees can face worked well in the story in a natural way.I will look forward to future stories in the series and will no doubt read this again because it's a great story.

Couldn’t put this book down. Loved how many emotions rolled through me while reading. Sad, happy , laughter it was great. Jess has a great sense of humour and sass. And such a wonderful family. Donovan family & Bishop family means the world to both Jess & Mark. Love these two. worth the read!

I don't even know where to start with this. It's a chaotic, annoying, over the top mix of tropes with unreasonable characters. It started with a brother's best friend then enemy to lovers then militarily to billionaire CEO mafia desaster. Throw in a wee bit of infertility and small town second chance at love plot in et voilà: probably one of the worst books I've read in the past years. I particularly don't like when problems between the main characters are caused by miscommunication, which is pretty much the lowest form to form a storyline. I really struggled finishing this one. Every time I thought it's finally coming to an end some random kidnapping/ blackmail / crazy random person happens and the plot is "twisted" again. Ugh.

Jess has had a crush on Mark since she was a teenager. Mark knew Jess was his best friends little sister and off limits. Fast forward and Jess is living in the run-down family home on Bishop Mountain and trying hard to make ends meet. She works hard to keep her non-profit for Veterans going after her brother returned without his leg. Mark is a multi millionaire in the city with a successful business, but not everything is as it seems. Mark returns home to see his family and his life is turned upside down when he sees Jess for the first time since returning from duty.This book has it all unrequited love, backstabbing, tension, #playboy, and misunderstandings, oh and did I mention the sex!Lexxi James at her magnificent best!

Interesting characters to this story plot. However, I did find a novel a bit too long. Many parts of the Story plot is a bit confusing? Jess and Mark are intriguing,,Sensual,Complicated, great Together as a whole.
