I recently bought two lamps with remotes, but when they arrived, one did not work with the remote. The reason I got this lamp was because I like the simple style; it has different colors based on the activity you're doing (reading, computer, etc.), and it has different dimmer settings. One worked great as advertised, but the other one only worked with the foot switch but not with the remote. The foot switch does not allow you to change the light color based on the activity, nor does it dim (although the instructions said there was a way to do this, but it didn't work for me).I contacted Amazon about getting a replacement remote, and they contacted the seller. My experience with this company was outstanding. They responded to me in a timely manner (either the same day or the next day). They let me know that I would have to replace the entire lamp since they work as one unit. When reviewing the return process, I realized I could only return it in the original packaging, which I no longer had. I told them I couldn't return it for that reason. But I also mentioned that I liked the lamp so much that I planned on buying two more anyway. They were nice enough to offer me a refund and to keep the "semi-broken" one.So, long story short, I ended up buying three more for a total of four lamps (the number I wanted). I use the fifth lamp (the semi-broken one) in the laundry room.Pros:1. Different dimmer settings2. Different color light settings based on what activity you're doing3. Simple style and solid black (most of the ones I looked at were multiple colors, such as black with a gold switch or trim).4. Shade can be angled5. Affordable6. Sturdy but still easy to move around to different locations7. The remote is magnetic and can be placed on the lamp, which is great because I'm prone to losing remotes.8. Great customer serviceCons:1. I wish it dimmed a little more. When I have guests, I like to dim the light so they can see where they are going.2. Although it’s not really a con for me, some people may be bothered by it being on the short side, so it is important to review the measurements.Overall, I think this is a great lamp. I added an extra star for the great customer service.

Great lamp, good value, easy to set up. Light enough to move around but sturdy. Put a Alexa lightbulb so it makes an easy thing to use even easier.

The one thing I would change is the packaging. By the time it arrives, the styrofoam is in many small bits and makes a mess when unpacking. My suggestion to the manufacturer is to change to a different material that holds up better in shipment. It's like opening a box of sparkles! Cleaning up the styrofoam takes longer to do than putting the lamp together. The lamp is great and works as needed.

I used it without the shade and installed a bulb camera looking out the side glass on our front door. It works great and I can move it anywhere in the house.

Overall, I think this purchase was excellent. The item is solid and durable, and the price is reasonable. The assembly process was also quite simple. However, I was surprised that the cord holding the lampshade was not made of rope as I initially assumed, and the lamp could have been slightly taller. Overall, it's a good buy, and I'm satisfied with my purchase.

Seemed to be good quality but as soon I got it put together I figured out the base wasn’t heavy enough and was falling over then about a month into owning the lamp the top just dropped and broke the part off that tightened it and keptIt together all in all a good 60 dollars wasted and can’t return it because it broke right after the time period to return it

this lamp cosmetically looks nice enough, but functionally is kind of garbage. the base isn’t sturdy at all and even a gust of wind from someone walking by is enough to knock it over. it’s too large to return, so we’re just stuck with it.

I wanted to use this lamp as a grow light in a particular area at a particular height, so it was crucial that the description was accurate. It's perfect. The lamp is well made and is exactly as described. It was shipped super quickly and was simple to assemble.*The part that holds the lampshade in place did have me scratching my head for a minute, as I couldn't find it. It's there, though. It will come already screwed onto the piece that sits atop the shade. Unscrew it, put on the shade, then screw it back in. I marked it with an arrow in the second picture.

Me gusta mucho la lámpara, no es muy alta por lo que hay que cuidar donde se coloca para no chocar con ella al sentarse.

I saw this first from Walmart and I tried to search here. Luckily I got a 6 coupon so I decides to buy it from here. It's a nice piece and very easy to assemble. Make sure to start to connect the rod from the top so that you can pull the chord from the bottom. I love also that the base is heavy and makes it sturdy.

Great lamp, but definitely needs to be taller

Very happy with this lamp. I bought one to provide light for my record turntable, and it was so good, I bought a second. Definitely recommend. Well made, very easy to assemble
