We have been using this harness for about 2 months with our 65 pound and almost 17 year old Doberman mix. The harness has been a godsend to us in being able to get our dog up and down stairs and has greatly improved the quality of life for our dog - and us!. We purchased the large size and it fits our dog well. The harness has a lot of adjustability and it does take some time and effort to get the fit right. We found that adjusting the neck size first helped to correctly position the harness on the dog, then you can adjust the other sections of the harness. The harness is good quality and has stood up well so far. Highly recommend.

This is a wonderful product. My 67lb, 13 yr old Catahoula can't jump up into the back seat of the car now--arthritis in hind legs. I'm a 69 yr old woman--I can't pick him up and get him in. This harness solved our problem! First, measure carefully to get the right size. Then adjust the straps to get a good fit. I use the two handles on the back, one in each hand. By the second time, he figured it out--he "helps" by putting his front paws on the car seat, and then I lift him up using the two handles. Works perfectly! I don't use that shoulder harness, nor those straps for the hind legs--didn't even attach them to the harness. This also works to assist him going up stairs, on a bad night. The tourquoise color is very stylish, and it's padded, so nicely made, that people think its his "service dog" vest! Ha, I say, I'm his service dog!

I ordered this because my 14 year old, 50lb dog just had an episode of vestibular disease and moving her around has been such a challenge. We live on the 3rd floor with no elevator and getting her up and down the stairs was so tough the first few days. I am able to carry her, but one bad lift and my back would be done for. I just got back from my first walk using this and it was so much easier than using her regular harness. I was able to have a lot more control of her going up and down the stairs, which was really a big relief (she tends to bomb down the stairs when she gets unstable- a disaster waiting to happen) for both of us to be stable walking down the stairs, and being able to help her a lot more going up the stairs. On the walk, having the adjustable straps was really nice, I could make them the perfect length to be able to support her if I needed to, without having to wear out my arms or wrap a leash around my hand 40 times. to get the right length. The padded handle hold is pure genius!The harness sizes are a little difficult to work with. I originally ordered a medium for her, but I could not get the straps to go long enough around her body. The large is overlapping at the shoulder, I haven't tried putting on the hind leg straps yet so I won't comment on those sizes. She has kind of a weird size anyway, her chest is really deep, but she isn't a wide or long dog, finding any harness size that adjusts just right for her is a challenge, but I feel like there could be ways around this with how many ways there are to adjust this harness- making the straps longer on the medium size would be super useful.For first time use, I highly recommend this. I'll update if it starts to fall apart or has some kind of failure.

I've never left a review here before, but I feel people should know that this is a sturdy, well made product that is working quite well for my senior dog. I bought it to mostly help my dog into the truck, but I imagine it could also help with stairs etc. The thing that sold me, and the thing that their advertising actually didn't highlight is that the harness buckles on BOTH sides of the dog(four buckles) so the dog doesn't need to work their front leg into the opening if there's only two buckles. The three handles also allows for assisting front, back or middle of your dog.I'd highly recommend this product.

This is an extremely well made high quality product that was exactly what I was looking for when my puppy broke her leg. Lots of handle options, strap is great, and all clip connections secure. I also found it to be very adjustable.

This is a very useful product for dogs that need a lot of support and help.BUT, be advised that the measurement advice is strange to say the least.My dog is a full size Flat Coated Retriever of 72 lbs and I followed the measurement chart and ordered the larger version.Being a male, the bottom support covered his private part and thus, he couldn't urinate. I returned that one and ordered the SMALLEST version.This is where the measurement issue comes into play.Both the SMALLEST and the LARGEST versions will fit my dog.You really need to judge the size based on the size of the top and bottom panels.The smaller version fits my large dog fine and leaves enough room underneath for all functions.These products require a lot of fitting and adjusting to work at their best but they ARE very adjustable and if you are willing to play around with the fit, you can surely get good results.On the other hand, if you don't feel that you are comfortable with a lot of adjusting and fitting, then any product of this type will probably frustrate you.This product requires a lot of thought from the moment you order it.HOWEVER, returns are very easy and hassle free so you really have nothing to lose trying this product out for your baby.

I have a 12 year old Bulldog who can't go up/down the stairs anymore, wants to still be in bed with us and doesn't like to be picked up. We needed a way to help him up and down the stairs so he doesn't fall. This has been seriously a life saver. Took a minute to train him on letting my husband put it on him but once he realized that wearing it = getting up to our bed...he was all about it. My boy is 65lbs and my husband carries him like a purse up and down the stairs. I'm really grateful for this harness.
