Easy for a senior to use. Also allows me to troubleshoot and control my mom's TV from 400 miles away
I bought the Jubilee system because I understood I’d be able to control my 94-year-old mother’s TV from 400 miles away. She can’t find programs, sometimes doesn’t have her tv turned on when she thinks she does. I had it the system sent to me because I wanted to try it before installing it at my mom’s. The install was easy. After connecting all the cables and power, I did have to call tech support and they answered immediately and walked me through the rest of the installation. Took a total of 15-20 minutes of my time. The support person demoed some of the features important to me – control app for my iPhone, how to use the remote – I have Roku and the remote is mostly the same, with the bonus of setting up a favorites section. I have about 150 Roku apps and use 6 regularly (and probably never use about 100 of them), put those in the favorites section and now I’m just choosing between 6 rather than 150. My impressions after about a week of use: What I like: 1. I’ll start by mentioning how impressed I was with support 2. Easy to use. Remote seems more responsive than the Roku (I haven’t timed it, just my impression) 3. The iPhone app is incredible. I’ll be able to troubleshoot my mom’s TV, change channels for her, see what she’s watching from 400 miles away 4. Video calling. My mom could never use Facetime (nor anything that required her to use a smartphone 😊). Screen is big (tv size big), sound is loud (tv sound loud) and familiar (same as using a remote) – thinking about it, I’m pretty sure I could initiate a call to me from my mom using my iPhone app to control her TV. Features I’d like to see: 1. Asterisk on the remote. There's a work around using voice command, but I like my asterisk – tech support gave this to engineering upgrades come regularly without me having to anything. 2. Weather – Allow scrolling through multiple zip codes, currently it’s the one you input when setting up the unit. 3. Contacts other than people who have Jubilee. I haven’t used chat, photos yet, but I’m looking forward to using it. I’m pretty sure my 94-year-old mother would get a lot of use out of the photos if I could load them (pretty sure I can). I’m honestly excited to use this product (was going to give this one to my mom but may just have to buy her another one 😊). Given how relatively new the product is, it seems like a relatively mature product (just give me an asterisk! 😊)

Totally Awesome !!!
Our father got to the point, in which he could not control his tv anymore. Believe me, it was impossible. He was confused even with voice commands. He is in assisted living, and we kept asking the staff to turn on his tv, change the channels, and turn off tv. It was a HUGE problem continuously calling the assistant living staff. We were so stressed, since we wanted dad to have the ability to watch TV. I found this product (JubileeTV) and thought it was worth a shot. This device has literally changed our life. Yes, it changed our stress level and it seemed like a miracle to us. Just so awesome. Was it worth $100? Absolutely YES. First, it was packaged extremely well. I look at how things are packaged, it tells me a lot. Second, the actual device is made of steel, not some cheap plastic. It’s nice and heavy and it’s well thought out. Where you plug in cables, it is well labeled. Third, it has all the cables you need. You don’t need to purchase any other cables. The cables are high quality too. Cables are individually packaged too. Fourth, we asked for a virtual phone call for the initial setup. Shaquille was our assistant and he was extremely professional and walked us through all the steps which were needed. We did not have any issues…the setup was well thought out. If we did have a question during the setup, Shaquille knew every answer. It was obvious he had done this hundreds of time. I would highly recommend using their free tech support during your setup. It will stream line your setup. Fifth, the TV controls in their app were so, so, so great AND so easy to use. We setup dad’s favorite channels, so the family can turn on his tv and turn to his favorite channels in literally 10 seconds. We can even see what is playing on his tv through the app. We setup up a “reminder” to have his TV automatically turned on at 9am to ESPN!! You can do that for your favorite shows. You want to watch Andy Griffith at 4pm, just setup a “reminder” and it will do it for you automatically. Just so awesome. Sixth, we setup the video camera so we can visit dad through their video camera. Dad will see our faces on his TV. He can hear us and he can talk with us. He does not need to do anything if we want to do a virtual meeting with him. That’s done through the app and us. There are other great features I’m sure we will explore later. Photos and video can be sent through the app, so he can view your photos and your video. Dad will kept in the loop on family functions. The app is well designed and easy to use. But if you are not sure, call their tech support. You can insert a ROKU device and control it too. Thats an option we will be investigating next. We have not set that up yet. One thing I also liked, their tech support number was on the remote control and easy to find within the app. It was NOT buried 12 levels down and hard to find. There is a monthly fee or a yearly fee. But you also get support 7 days a week!! For our family, this fee is well worth it. There is nothing worse than a product that has no support. They are located in the United States. If you have a parent or family member who can’t control their tv, and you need the ability to control their tv, this is the miracle you’ve waited for. In addition, there many other features you will find helpful. We wish we had found this product two years ago. Believe me this product is so great and helpful. Very Close to a perfect product.

Works as advertised. Highly recommended for aging parents.
I ordered JubileeTV for my 88 year old mother whose brain is fading, and who lives about 35 minutes away. Whereas it was formerly very difficult or impossible to help her navigate the Roku and TV, she can just call me now to change stations or turn up the volume. Installation was pretty easy, though I was unable to get the JubileeTV remote to adjust the volume on her dinosaur Samsung TV. I called customer service, and spoke to someone with no waiting. He was very help, and remotely took control of her JubileeTV to reboot it, etc. The volume control worked thereafter, and I give everything an A+. Its nice to be able to look at my mother's living room without her knowing it, though I had already installed 2 Wyze cams for that purpose. I have not tried the 2-way video call feature. It is easy to control her TV now with my Android phone, whether turning it on/off, changing channels or adjusting the volume. I highly recommend JubileeTV for anyone with an aging parent. Its well worth the $200 initial cost plus $29 monthly.

Wonderful for dementia care, easy to use
This product was a life saver for our 95 year old grandma experiencing dementia. When she could no longer figure out the remote, we were able to turn on her favorite shows and baseball games. It was worth its weight in gold, and was even easy for my 70 year old parents to use the app and set it up for grandma. All you need is a strong WiFi connection, and in our case, a Roku, and it’s a wonderful product. We ended up upgrading the Roku to a higher end model which had stronger WiFi to alleviate some early issues.

Impossible to Install
Impossible to set up. I am very tech savvy but this was extremely difficult to set up. My mother in law has a Roku TV and there was no setting for Roku even though Roku is recommended. I tried calling for help but gave up after 30 minutes on hold. Put back in the box . Also the monthly fee is ridiculous I never would have bought it if I had known it was $289 a year. I don’t believe the 5 star ratings.

Pice ofind while maintaining independence!
This device gives me such piece of mind! My 85 yo mother is just stubborn enough to know she doesn't want to leave her home. I can see what she is doing and keep in video contact which is so comforting to us both and other family members I live an hour away and still working so in person visits are not as frequent as I wish they could me. This helps me fill in the gaps with the virtual calls & drop ins. Highly recommend for caregiver piece of mind and maintaining a loved one's indepence for as long as possible. So glad I came across Jubilee TV!

Great product to communicate with loved ones
Three months in… After much deliberation, I finally decided to subscribe to JubileeTV in October. The one-month no-risk trial was a reassuring factor before making the commitment. Given that I live 3000 miles away from my parents, I strategically planned for it to coincide with a visit to them. Initially, I encountered a minor hiccup when I realized that setting up a 2-hour install window was necessary, but the support team promptly assisted me, understanding my unique situation. Setting up the product itself was a breeze, and within just 30 minutes, I was up and running. I downloaded the app, seamlessly paired it with my parents' TV, and my brother did the same. Since then, my parents have been using the TV effortlessly, requiring little to no assistance from me. This has truly been a game-changer for them and both of us. I have a cable box and fire tv connected. With one single remote they can now live channels and streaming services, they navigate the system effortlessly. Moreover, the option to remotely monitor their activity, control content, and receive notifications about their TV usage has been invaluable. As someone who often communicates with my parents via FaceTime, I've found JubileeTV to be incredibly useful on occasions when they're unreachable on their phones. With its ability to turn on the TV and ring through the TV speaker, it reliably grabs their attention. While the initial cost may seem steep, the value JubileeTV has added to my life is immeasurable. The time and money saved, along with the peace of mind it provides, make the subscription fee well worth it. Additionally, I must commend their exceptional customer support, which has consistently gone above and beyond. In fact, I've even encouraged my brother to share his own review, as I'm confident he'll echo my sentiments. Overall, I'm thrilled with JubileeTV and gladly continue to pay for such a fantastic product.

A must buy for family members with dementia
This has been a life savor. My father has dementia and he quickly couldn’t remember how to work a remote. This has given him more time to be independent and gives us his family relief. It works great but we have had some hiccups. Minor issues that we were able to fix with shutting it down and restarting the system. We have been using it for the past three weeks and besides our one hiccup, it’s been working perfectly. I also love the feature that tells you if it senses a presence in front of the tv. It has helped me take note during the night time if he is restless or sleeping well.
