Awesome rings! I'll never buy from anyone else!
I'm about a week into doing chainmaille and its so much fun! I have now bought rings from 3 places... I will never buy from anywhere but chainmail Joe again! The ones I bought from the other companies are snapping and breaking with almost no pressure, but I have not yet broken even one ring from Chainmail Joe... They are definitely high quality rings!I got these today, and figured I'd give an attempt at a helm weave... I'd never tried it... and I used these rings and some from another bag that I bought from Chainmail Joe, and I used the two bent pliers that I bought from him, and well... here's a pic of the bracelet I whipped up in no time... (please keep in mind its a first attempt so don't make fun!)Anyway, great rings, thank you so much! I love them!

Stronger Than You'd Think -
Great rings and stronger than you'd think. One question I had before ordering was whether or not the black would either crack or rub off - no worries. I've had no problems at all. In fact, after toying around with them, I went to their web site and while poking around - found they had a book of various chain weaves - so I picked it up too. Nice little book with huge color pictures and good instructions. One of the simple pluses of the book is the spiral binding so you can lay it flat while trying out the different chainmail weaves. They even tell you what size rings work best for each - which I found helpful being a noob. I started with the smaller rings found in the craft store - where many just broke in half while either opening them or closing them back into a chain I was working on! You can waste a lot of time, effort and money, or you can buy better rings! I'll be buying more from Chainmail Joe -

Beautiful gold color, would buy again
I don't often make chain mail stuff, but one of my costumes called to construct a chain mail belt. I found these rings easy to use, and the size and gauge just right for my project. More than that, it's the nicest gold color I've found anywhere. I'd buy again, and am considering buying more just to play with.I did have maybe a dozen or so links that weren't completely cut through, but my understanding is that's par for the course and there's usually a few unusable rings.

Great rings!
I love these. I usually work with 1/4 16g but just happened to have a project that needed the 18g and thought I would try these and see how they compare to my usual supplier. In the past when I have bought from a less expensive supplier, the anodizing would be poor and would chip when you bend the ring, or would rub off easily, no issues with these! They are anodized after cutting so the ends are also colored. They are more matte than shiny and there is variation with in the batch but I really like the subtle difference in shading in my projects. I hope to buy more soon and hope for different sizes soon.

Good rings for the most part
These are pretty good rings for the most part. My only issue is they are wound the other way before cutting than all the other brand I have used. So it takes twice as long to weave them. For me anyway. If I try to open them the way Im used to it discolors the bend area. Some people like them to open this way. It just gives me issues. But overall they are good rings and have and will use them again when needed for projects if needed.

Not as good as their bright aluminum rings
Like one other reviewer said. I love the chainmail Joe's bright aluminum rings, but I'm disappointed with the quality of the 16 gauge 1/4" black rings I bought. Not because of any size or miscut issues (I haven't had that problem,) but because a fairly large number of the rings are spotty. I've had issues with paint chipping off of the rings at the bend when opening and closing the ring, and many of the rings have also had paint chipped off in the bag. I will continue to buy chainmail Joe's bright aluminum rings, but for anodized aluminum I will buy from a different source.

Quality rings, decent prices, fast shipping.
These rings are perfect for the project I ordered them for. They are great value for the money and the coating is thick enough not to chip off while working with the rings even with uncovered pliers (as long as you are gentle). I have bought from this seller in the past and will buy from them again.

Not Really *Blue* Blue
I bit the bullet, and gave these a try: they are not so much blue, as a dark turquoise, or something. Not at all usable for the flag inlay I had planned to use them in. Chainmail Joe is a great outfit- their rings are always top notch....but these have to go on the back of the shelf. =/
