it does not work!
Unfortunately although this looks great, it does not work with a car ipod dock. It docks well, the connections all fit well, but the sound still comes out of the phone rather than the car speakers. I thought the other reviews could not possibly be right and I was really hoping this would work.... but it doesn't. Not with a HTC One anyway. Very disappointing...

Only for iphone 5 and samsung.
I bought this because I wanted to use my HTC ONE with my bose docking station The cables charge the htc one through usb just fine, and you can plug the 3.5mm into the dock and play music from your phone and the audio does come out the dock, although not very loud. My dock has a remote and only pause works, if I press next or previous track it calls the last person i called which is far from ideal because i'm so used to skipping tracks. Basically, it's bad false advertising (To be fair it does say ''for iphone 5 and samsung'' on the box) But not on Amazon. If the advertising was correct I wouldn't have bought this, which reminds me, this product is really overpriced.

Three Stars
Works well but there is a lot of feedback noise at times.

Works really well, but shame there are so many extra leads.
It's a shame there are so many parts to this otherwise great little piece of kit that transformed my old iphone compatible (30pin) alarm clock speaker to work with my Samsung S5

Very impressed.................
I've searched the internet to try and find something that converted by Philips IPod docking station (6 years old), to charge and play music on my new Samsung galaxy S6 phone, many reviews stating it wasn't possible or lots of products didn't work........... WELL.......... I am so so, pleased, I order this Cablejive product, first checking all the info. given. It arrived two days later, so easy and simple to use. I plugged it into my existing IPod pin on the docking station, then used the USB cable and plugged by phone it, straight away it started charging so I then plugged in the aux cable, went to my music files and again straight away it started playing the music on my Samsung phone. I can't tell you how pleased I am with this product...............

shoddy jack connection ruins a great idea
First of all I was delighted that I finally had a dock connector that would allow me to use my Yamaha CRX-330 (which has no aux input). The dock is quite happy believing itself to have an ipod/phone connected (it's just the dockboss really). In fact, I was *so* chuffed I immediately got rid of the packaging believing myself to have solved my connection problems. Too late I realised that the dockBoss 5 would be let down by the simplest part of its hardware- namely the jack connection, which delivers *only* mono on my unit, despite cleaning, clearing and wiggling the jack around. (I suppose it's a faulty unit, but it's too late now for me to get it replaced having chucked the packaging.) Disappointing to be let down by such a simple thing.

Doesn't work with Panasonic MW-10 digital photo frame audio system with ipod dock.
Doesn't work with Panasonic MW-10 digital photo frame audio system with ipod dock. You can only charge your smartphone (tried with Xperia U and Galaxy S3 mini).

Charges my iPhone 5S with no problem.
Charges my iPhone 5S from my Logitech alarm clock/speaker docking station with no problems. You DO have use a second audio cable (included with purchase) (headphone jack of phone to CableJive adapter) if you want to hear audio through your speaker system. Lightening cable will only charge your device in this application. I just love being able to check my phone, email, etc and have it charging, all why lying in bed.

Good product
Thanks to CableJive for making this. I have the generation 1 IPOD NANO, whose battery died last year but this used to work when connected to Laptop. Unfortunately it was not working fine on the Bose dock when directly connected. Now with this CableJive dock, I am able to connect this ipod and listen music also can connect my Galaxy S5 and listen to music while it is charging also. Good to have if you have a speaker system with old 30pin apple connector, you can use that with any other device to listen music.

What a great product. Nice system interactions. Even works with complicated dock interfaces passing iPod remote control commands
Works well with systems that passes iPod (iPhone) remote control commands, i.e. not just a speaker system but also works with something more advanced and complicated like a stereo system with a display. Been looking for such a device for years and was about to discard a nice micro stereo system without an aux-in interface when I discovered a review of this product. The micro Hi-Fi system I am using the DockBoss for is the very good sounding and well reviewed/awarded Yamaha MCR-330 (specifically the CRX-330 receiver) in the Pianocraft series. I received this system as gift from my dad when he bought a new Yamaha piano around 4000 Euros. However, this micro system infamously came without an aux-in input. To be specific no external audio inputs except an Apple dock interface. The missing aux-in connector was later corrected in a revised edition of this micro system namely the MCR-332 (CRX-332 receiver)). Anyway, good news for Yamaha MCR-330 (CRX-330 receiver) users ... (this solution may also work for other Yamaha units with similar iPod status commands as in the following just below ... or as in other Hi-Fi systems with an Apple dock where interaction is complicated by the Hi-Fi systems use of iPod remote control commands when interacting through the Dock interface) Previously, nothing would interact with the dock in the Yamaha CRX-330 unit ... or rather interact through the dock with the CRX-330 relying on iPod remote control commands. The receiver unit would simply prompt the message "Unknown iPod" (unsupported iPod) ... probably because the receiver was trying to interact using iPod remote control commands. But now the DockBoss is around to respond to these commands! So now the Yamaha receiver unit states a normal and working status of "iPod"! (meaning a system interactive iPod is correctly stationed in the dock ... however it is just the DockBoss sitting there :o). Even the Yamaha "iPod unplugged" status comes up in CRX-330 receivers display when the DockBoss is physically disconnected from the dock. I also ordered this DockBoss device to use it in a solution for BT (BlueTooth) audio (A2DP). Thus, when ordering this unit I was thinking of ordering the special DockBoss bluetooth unit instead. But as stated in the paragraph above I wanted to extend the Yamaha CRX-330 unit with its missing Aux-in connector. So I opted for keeping a 3.5 mm mini Jack interface with the DockBoss5. Effectively I partitioned the solution into 2 components. The dock interface using the DockBoss5. And a Logitech Wireless Speaker Adapter which I tested worked well up to 7 meters + the signal going through 3 walls (i.e. 10 meters totally as BlueTooth is supposed to do). This adapter looks nice. For a less complicated look, i.e. no wires (at all), you could go for the DockBoss bluetooth adapter. Have not tested it - but I would guess it has the same support for the iPod remote controls commands, i.e. would work in my stereo system. In my case I just needed the aux-in option through the dock including the option to connect a wired audio signal.

favoloso!!!
