Great For Beginners, BUT . . .
I was delighted to find this tiny book so full of helpful advice that can be digested quickly by those of us eager to get started selling on eBay. Mr. Vulich writes as if speaking to the reader in a friendly way, sharing his own mistakes and helping us to avoid potential pitfalls. I particularly appreciated his sharing when costs are worthwhile or unnecessary. In addition, the book I received is the 2013 version so, as much as possible given the constant changes to everything online, I felt that it was pertinent to today's seller. That said, I felt he was a bit too brief sometimes and failed to answer some of my questions: 1) Regarding sales tax: does one collect tax only from buyers who reside in the same state as the seller? If the buyer is having the item shipped to someone in a different location, is there a way to see if the buyer (not the recipient) lives in the seller's state? When/how does the seller remit the collected taxes to the state? Does one need to get a tax number to start selling - "store" or no-store? Perhaps he could include suggestions about how to journal the sales and taxes collected in case one day (heaven forbid!) the seller might be audited? 2) Packing: While it's nice to advise one to "sell light items" so that everything fits into the US Postal Service's envelopes and boxes, unfortunately, most of us have oddly-shaped, large or fragile items to ship. More detail in this area would be helpful. My displeasure came at the end of the book where Mr. Vulich promotes four more books that he has written, two of which apparently enlarge on the content of this book. (To be fair, one is "Coming Soon", and I hope that it has addressed my suggestions.) I'd have been happy to pay more to get everything in one book, with a simple index at the end to direct the reader to the pertinent topics. Perhaps he could make a separate Part 2 section for those who wish, after diving into selling, to create a store. So, bottom line, should you buy the book? I think it's worthwhile for his advice. If you want to start selling 'yesterday', it'll encourage you to get started. Just keep track of your sales and, I think, collect the appropriate sales tax from buyers in your state. If you're NOT in a hurry to start selling, I think I'd wait until his pending book is published, or see if your local library has a recent eBay book filled with a few more details.

Great advice to getting started selling on Ebay
This guide is spot on! I can vouch for the information in the book as in one year I went from trying out my wings as an Ebay seller (after a few years as an avid buyer...) to Ebay Powerseller status. My lessons were learned through trial and error, but if I'd read this book I would have saved myself a lot of time, energy and probably made a tad more money too.If you're considering starting to sell on Ebay this book is a quick read that gives great tips. It won't sell for you, but it does explain how to get started by signing up as a seller and getting a PayPal account.Essential points like find a 'niche' market, put customer service as a priority, offer a refund policy and ship things that are light, are tried and true ways to make money on Ebay.Starting with stuff you have at home is also good advice, if there's a market.I purchased items at dirt-cheap closeout prices and resold them. Always new, in the box with a photo. I did well, but then the source dried up. Another bit of advice in the book is to constantly be on the lookout for new opportunities. If you are a newbie and want to start selling on Ebay, get this book. If you've sold on Ebay before, there's still some good points to remember that are covered and the writer's own Ebay story.Highly recommend this book!

Highly Systematic And Simple Guide To Seling Products On Ebay
I have been an ebay buyer now for 6 years. I tried to be a seller for the same number of years, but so far I failed to be a seller because I could not find a good guide to lead me through the ABC of selling on ebay. However, now I know I CAN sell on ebay, thanks to this book. Here are the merits of the book:*** Assumes nothing, and teaches the subject from ABC*** Lists all things that a seller has to set up*** Explains how to set up these things*** Explains various facilities available on ebay*** Tells of the possible conflicts and how to handle them*** Explains what not to doThe Bonus:*** A very large number of pictures help the reader to see things exactly as they are on ebayI was highly benefited as though I received face-to-face instruction. I will be setting up my ebay shop this week itself.Recommendation:*** I highly recommend the book to anyone who is considering setting up a shop on ebay*** I also recommend to the book to those who are already on ebay but who do not yet know all the intricacies of ebay selling

I guess I wasn't a beginning beginner
A good portion of the book pertained to setting up Pay-Pal, which I had already done, and info about pictures, in which I had already dabbled. But this seemed to be a real-life story about a person's experience in E-bay. There were a LOT of comments and suggestions about many things that I had not thought of. I am sad that I may have to cut up my 1949 Life mags to make money by selling the ads and/or articles. This is a great "live and learn" little book.
