Product Description Frances McDormand stars as the eponymous character in this miniseries adapted from Elizabeth Strout's novel. Set in the fictional town of Crosby, Maine, the story takes place over 25 years and follows Olive Kitteridge, a depressed high school maths teacher, who has good intentions despite her harsh exterior. She is supported by her husband Henry (Richard Jenkins), a kindhearted pharmacist, while their son Christopher (Devin Druid/John Gallagher, Jr.) grows resentful towards his mother. The series captures different periods of Olive's life and her interactions with the other townspeople. The cast includes Zoe Kazan, Bill Murray, Rosemarie DeWitt and Martha Wainwright. The episodes are: 'Pharmacy', 'Incoming Tide', 'A Different Road' and 'Security'. Excellent story and film
Excellent DVD based on a wonderful book. Frances Mc Dormand gives an outstanding performance of the main character Olive. DVD was very good value for money and it arrived in good condition and securely packaged. Thankyou

Brilliant adaptation of a brilliant book
I’m a massive fan of the book so was not expecting the film to be as good. However this is a fabulous adaptation which stays true to the story and shows perfect casting with Frances McDormand as the spiky but loveable anti-heroine, Olive.

Brilliant Olive Kitteridge
Olive Kitteridge is a wonder! I just had to have the DVD of the series ththat was shown on the tv. I watched it every time it was shown and loved Olive Kitteridge.....just brilliant.

Great performances - a 4-disc treat.
I seem to be using the word 'quirky' a lot - though with me that is a good thing.A great performance by Frances McDormand.Multi-layered small town life in America.Riveting.

Fantastic!!
I saw this over a year ago and it was the best thing I'd watched in years. Frances McDormand was excellent but the whole drama was so well made, I found it an absolute joy to watch!

Excellent adaptation of the book
I loved the book and was delighted with this brilliant adaptation. Extremely poignant, witty and entertaining. Highly recommended.
