Bit pricey but I couldn't find anything as good for the price
There are cheaper pads but the paper on this pad is lovely to write on, even left handed with a fountain pen. There is zero bleed through to the other side. Because of this and the fact that it is top bound it means that I can use both sides of the paper, which effectively halves the price compared to some pads. The cardboard stiffener is stiff enough so you can write with it on you knee.

Great paper but not really A5
The paper is great to use with fountain pens. Nibs run smoothly and there's no noticeable feathering. If it matters to you, the page dimensions are not exactly A5. The height is 210 mm but only 199 mm from the bottom of the page to the microperforation on top. The width is 144 mm, not 148 mm as advertised.

Best paper money can buy
Quite honestly a great little product. If like me you a sucker for nice, thick paper that feels great for writing or drawing then you can't go wrong with a Rhodia notepad. I've marked it down on sturdiness based on the fact it's wirevound and generally they're easily bent, but the main thing to consider is what you'll be using it for. Which is why overall it gets five stars at a bargain price.

Title is incorrect, this is a DOT pad not LINED pad
Just to be clear (as Amazon have the title for this Rhodia pad wrong) this Rhodia pad is a dot pad, not lined pad. I double checked before I ordered to make sure it was a dot pad even though the title/description says lined. The Black Dot Grid is 165039 and the Black Lined is 165019.Still love the dot pads from Rhodia, great for fountain pen use. Have a mix of this and the regular Rhodia Dot Pad 16559 and really do love these pads for writing with fountain pens. No feather or bleeding, slightly glossy/smooth finish, bright white with light grey dots.

Amazon at its worst
The pad arrived damaged - the cardboard and back cover are bent and dirty. The quality of the pad itself is great, but looks like it was completely mishandled at Amazon warehouse and whoever packed it didn’t even bother checking if the product fits the appropriate quality standard. I also had some delivery problems (which were resolved by the logistics team), however the damaged product is still completely disappointing..
