Works well as a cable cutter. I accidentally got an in-ground dog leash wrapped around my electric push mower. I purchased this tool and it had no problems cutting up the plastic and wire leash so I could remove it from the mower and the anchor in the ground.Fortunately, my mower was not damaged in the accident.The tool seems well made and is spring loaded to make cutting jobs easier. It comes with a way to close thecutter and prevent the cutter from accidently causing injury or harm.

I was removing a bunch of hanging fluorescent light fixtures hung with stranded galvanized steel cable. My bolt cutters were having an impossible time cutting the cables so I needed something better. These inexpensive cutters did the trick. They effortlessly cut the cables that I estimate were between 1/16 to 3/32 diameter, making the job fast and easy. Totally unexpected given the price. I would definitely buy these again.

this little tool was able to cut through my kids zip line cable that was very thick. it took some force but it worked. this cable was 2-3xs thicker than any of the other reviews were showing.
