An excellent Resource
This is an excellent resource for a trainee nurse. Although I'm following a mental health nursing route and this is focussed at more mainstream disciplines I still found it highly relevant. The style and language used is particularly conducive to learning. Highly recommended

Nursing Trainer Book With Access To Training Resources
You may of already come across a review of mine which I have submitted for another medical trainer book from this same provider. Both trainer books practically go hand in hand with each other and overlap on several areas and topics within a medical setting.Just to give a little bit of background on why I have decided to broaden my knowledge in this area of nursing, mainly for my own and my families benefit...In 2018... something that never was 'interesting' to me suddenly was, when my 12 year old daughter suffered Intra-abdominal Sepsis, and Sepsis Shock which initally went un-noticed following a surgical procedure with complications.Panic set in and I became a 'self taught internet Microbiologist' out of pure desperation.Learning which antibiotics targeted which infections, questioning the consultants on a daily basis on her IV medication, learning names of different medications to question them why this one or that one wasn't being used instead? In the end, after an exhausting 38 days in hospital, and seven different intravenous antibiotics, me and my daughter left the hospital. Now 5 years later, my daughter has a confirmed diagnosis of Post Sepsis Syndrome, M.E, P.o.T.S and suffers from Ortostatic Dysregulation, due to the Sepsis Shock and from her immune system going into overdrive and attacking her major internal organs that never fully recovered.Concequently, she was left bed-ridden and developed pressure sores and other complications, and are topics covered in this training material.But... I'm just a mum.Feeling helpless and under-educated within a medical environment, I needed to do something but I didnt know what to do?I'm not a nurse, it wasn't a career path I was particularly interested in pursuing. But when I needed to learn to protect and care for my child, I wanted to learn. Also, as my daughter has re-occuring hospital admissions from complications, the local hospital is a very familar setting to me now and certain medical words and abbreviations which I overheard multiple times, but had no clue what they was or what they was for... now I know. This Trainer course and book is really interesting, because it's not just learning the facts it's showing me how situations should be approached by medical professionals, and how its taught and expected to be approached, and at what point medical treatment invention is necessary. The course includes scenarios, clips, questions and roleplay activites, which online access to the course material is provided by following the web address and entering your unique code under the scratch panel.Once the code is activated, you have 18 months of access to complete the course.I'm learning this for my own knowledge, not to pursue a career in a medical profession.
