Cheap materials but fits fine
It fits the GoPro 8 fine and with the design of the GoPro’s cover it’s easy to install. The cover itself is a tad disappointing it is cheap plastic that does close the cover but does not lock in place.

Works great, better than the original
Much easier to open / close than the normal cover that comes with the normal GoPro. You can also connect it to your usb to charge or download your videos without having to open it.Since the USB is exposed, you probably shouldn't use this while underwater, but I think you're supposed to use the clear protective case for underwater anyway, so no problem there either.

Does what it’s designed to do, but…
The door is hard to open, in fact, I have to use a knife or a tool to pry it open to get to the battery of my hero8.
