The quality is great and the sizing was accurate that it fits my small bowl! This is great for all pets whether they are fast eaters or not. I have a senior dog that doesn’t eat fast but its used more as a precaution to avoid choking or if he begins to eat fast. Its also very easy to clean you can just remove it easily from the bowl and wash it. The suctions at the bottom are also great and allows for the insert to NOT move as your dog eats. Slow feeders are great in the sense that your dogs can find eating more stimulating because they have to eat around it!

When I started mixing home-made dog food with kibble, my pet gobbled it down within a few seconds! Obviously that's not good, so I put the slow feeder in his bowl, and it made a big difference!It's easy to wash and durable. From what I'm told, it mentally engages the dog during feeding time, but I'm not a dog, so...(shoulder shrug).

Definitely slowed the cats down while eating, so it’s efficient in that; however, I cleaned the metal bowl before use and stuck it in there well and it still ended up sliding around. Design and construction were fine though.

We bought these for our Perlibro dual bowl auto feeder because our two cats were throwing up after eating too quickly we suspected, so we got these and it did slow them down and they stopped barfing!Hilarious thing though, the cats kind of hated these and would routinely try and remove them but their suction cups were great and they’d end up taking the whole bowl out of the machine, tried as they might they didn’t shred the rubber, good quality. The cats were actually eating too fast because of anxiety we learned, and after eating slower they started to sniff eachother and even groom eachother while the other ate. We had these in the dishwasher once and forgot to put them back in and the cats continued the slower eating behavior and we think don’t need them anymore. So these were a great great great sort of training wheels for them to resocialize when eating. Highly recommend.

The diameter fits perfectly in my dogs bowl and the suction cups really work.. However, the smaller the size you go only changes the width of this insert, I guess not the height of the grooves.. The grooves were too tall, Gidget couldn't reach her food so we had to trim them down a bit - luckily the material was easy to cut.

I’ve purchased multiple slow feeders for our chocolate lab puppy, most of which she’s chewed up, and I finally found the Wesen to be the very best. it sits in the bottom of her bowl and does not move. The suction is so strong she even picks up her bowl, using the slow feeder and brings it to me when she’s hungry. Labs are notorious for inhaling their food, and this slow feeder definitely slows her down. It’s super easy to clean and it’s versatile for dry and wet food. love it so much that I purchased one for our six-year-old black lab and it works great for her as well.

I bought this to help my cat with regurgitation and fast eating, however, it was more of a hassle than a solution. It had a decent suction, however my cat did not like this. My cat would pull at it with her teeth to get the suction cups to release from the bowl because it made it too hard to eat wet or dry food. Additionally, wet food would get stuck under the insert, making it impossible for my cat to finish her food. It added extra work for me because I would have to take the food that was stuck under the insert and place it back on top so that my cat could finish her food.When she would pull it out of the bowl, all of the wet food would splatter on the floor, making a mess for me to clean up. I tried to cut the insert down with scissors to make the ridges a lower height and that did not work either. I had to eventually throw it out because it was causing a headache for me and my cat.

The media could not be loaded. I like this product! I have a plastic slow feeder bowl, but it has such small grooves that my dog gave up eating all his food after a while. This portable slow feeder tool has good suction to the stainless steel bowl. It is a soft silicon so it won’t rub a dogs snout or mouth roughly. It does a good job of slowing down my dogs speed of eating. He didn’t seem discouraged about eating his food. My dogs food bowl measures 6” at the base, so I ordered a large. It fits well with some room around the outer circumference.
