As soon as I held the box I knew these were quality. In engineering heavy is expensive, quality is heavy. Set of 5, each knife has spare blades in the handle, the box also comes with a set of separate spare blades too! I’m middle aged I don’t think I will ever use all these snap off blades! £9 and I now have a sharp brand new blade for life! These knifes feel very robust in the hand, the size up from a disposable type snap off you may have used. In a world where Brand names and using the cheapest materials and cheapest factories here we have Amazon specifying ( for the money ) the best materials and build quality. Inside the tough plastic handle is the metal carriage for the blades, the heart of this tool. The quality of this blade carriage is second to none. I will be very surprised if I ever need to buy a DIY knife ever again.

Excellent quality and good to hold, compared to others the knives and a great point is they also self load so along with the pack of spare blades these are excellent value for money.

Extremely good value. Five knives each with 16 snap-off blades plus a number of extra blades. Well-made, comfortable to hold, strong easy-to-use mechanism, very sharp blades.

These are the best quality retractable knives I've ever bought. I normally buy these types of knives from the pound shop. But they always break, And never last long. I'm 100% sure will last me ages. I was pleasantly surprised to find that each knife, has 3 blades pre loaded in the handle. And you also get a pack of 10 blades with the set. So for me, these are well worth the money. I will definitely buy these again. But I'm sure it will be a very long while before I do.

These are comfortable to use and feel nice. However, the blade keeps detaching from the retractor and leaves the blade exposed, or stuck in whatever you are cutting. I've had these for a year now, and they haven't fallen apart, but the blade issue is a major annoyance..

I thought I was buy a single knife with 5 sets of blades, got confused. So i was super surprised when i open the package and saw 5 knifes! each has 3 blades. These things are AWESOME, they are super high quality and work excellent. I wish I could give it 6-7 stars. Much better than the knife's i got locally.

Mia moglie mi ha preso in giro "cosa ce ne facciamo di 5 taglierini"... ma poi uno in garage, uno nella cassetta degli attrezzi, uno per aprire i pacchi, uno in ufficio... e uno di scorta! Sono più solidi dei normali taglierini che si comprano negli ipermercati, sono soddisfatto!

Je m'attendais franchement à rien, juste pas envie d'investir dans un cutter pour un usage domestique occasionnel et bien je suis VRAIMENT surpris par le rapport qualité/prix de ce lot à 12€ (prime day) les 5 !!! C'est même pas le prix (même hors prime day) d'un cutter à qualité égale que vous trouverez ailleurs ou même ici. Et en plus vendu avec 10 lames de rechange, que demande le peuple :) Merci Amazon.

7/23/2021: After using the Amazon Basics Retractable Utility Knife for two weeks, I not only remain impressed with the heavy duty feel, but the day-to-day use is awesome! I keep one an arm's length away at all times. I absolutely love these and even if I have a different knife near me I will reach for these first. I love that you can use them, almost surgically, for very fine cuts, and also for the tough jobs. I extend just the very tip for the fine cuts and the casing doesn't get in the way like traditional retractable box cutters so you can see exactly where you're cutting. When I'm ready to cut a box open or down it's a breeze. So happy with these that I'm ordering more.These are the quickest and easiest way to cut for so many tasks and feel great in the hand - nice weight and balance. 7/9/2021: Rather impressed at how heavy duty these feel. I wasn't expecting them to be so nice. Easy to load and unload with plenty of extra blades included - fifteen preloaded, three per knife, and ten extra included in the box. I don't normally choose this type of knife but I lose every utility knife I put my hands on. I must have between ten to fifteen somewhere in the house but I can only find three at the moment and when I need one it's never right at hand. I'll be spreading these around the house so I don't have to look whenever I need a box opener. I'll update my review and the stars once I actually open a box with one.
