Not very fast
I was kind of looking forward to having some fun with this little boat but as others have said, it does not move very fast. We have a pond that is about 100 feet long and 50 feet wide. Once I got the boat out about half way across the pond I was not getting good response from the remote. The battery was fully charged before I used it. I did drive it closer to me for a bit before taking it out farther but it was only for about 10 minutes. They say that the battery life is about 20 minutes and I don't think that I used it for that length of time before I wasn't getting much response. I was finally able to get it back to shore and retrieve it before running out of power. I wish it was a little bigger and faster though. It's currently listed at $26.99 and I feel $20.00 would be a better price for the boat.

Nice little motorboat for the kids
The media could not be loaded. So this speedboat is pretty basic. It has your basic forward and backward controls, it has a barrel roll and handstand feature (unfortunately I didn't get the handstand on video, but at first I thought a turtle had grabbed it and was pulling it under by the rudder, if you can imagine what that looked like). It has 2 different speed settings but one isn't much different from the other. I got this for my 6yr old. It says in the instructions not intended for children under 14 but my son figured it out pretty quickly. He thought it was coolest thing. I think it is kind of cheap in terms of how it's made and what it does. We didn't try to stretch the distance it would go in the water because we weren't prepared to get in the water to retrieve it should it get too far away from the controller. ..One thing I did think was a neat feature, it knows when it's in the water and when it's not, so the propellers won't spin unless it senses being in the water. That's excellent for little kids so they don't get hurt by the propeller blades spinning. It also has a movable rudder on the bottom incase it's pulling to one side or the other. You just turn it a little and boom it's going straight. ..all in all foe what it was purchased for it held up and my son really enjoys playing with it.

Fun toy for the kids
Got this for the kids to play in the pool with. I'm kinda disappointed that the remote isn't waterproof, but other than that this is a great toy. Battery life is sufficient (it does come with two batteries), it's fast in the water and does a cool flipping trick as well. Reverse doesn't work right as the weight distribution of the boat makes it sink whenever you try to reverse it. Otherwise I'm so far impressed. We will see how durable it is once it is used more.

Really fun RC boat
This boat is really fun. The controls aren't twitchy like some RC toys can be, so it's easy to control the speed and turning. (There is sometimes a lag between when you move the throttle, but it seems to happen only at the beginning.)Pushing the left stick forward accelerates forward, and moving it backwards (towards you) makes the boat reverse. It might take a moment or two for the boat to respond if it has forward momentum. The right stick controls turning to the left or right. The button on the left side under the stick toggles between normal and fast speed. There is a significant, noticeable difference between the two speeds. The button on the right engages a stunt mode where the boat turns in circles. You can also do this manually using the sticks after you get used to how the controls work. It's great that two batteries are included so you can keep the fun going. If you have a portable power pack, you can charge one battery while playing, because the batteries use a USB connection.if you find your boat drifting too much to the left or right, you can manually adjust the rudder to compensate for this.Important note: Pairing between the boat and controller is automatic, but the boat MUST be in the water. Switch on the controller and then put the boat in the water. The boat's lights will come on to indicate that you're paired. This is a great RC toy that even young kids will find easy to control. It's a lot of fun, and I recommend it.

Fun little boat, not super fast
Comes with two batteries, and the batteries charge via standard mini-USB cord, so no having to find the special cord, which is nice! It's a very small boat, a perfect size for pools. It is twin engine and you steer by changing the direction of the engines. This makes it flip, but that's ok, you can right it easily. You will need 3 AAA batteries for the controller, the boat doesn't come with that. Alex likes it because it's the right speed to race against it while swimming! There are no cages on the propellors so keep little hands and hair away. We gave it a 4 because it's not super fast and you have to go find AAAs to use it.-- updated to a 5 because kid discovered that it has a hidden 'turbo' feature that makes it 2x faster and it just about planes in turbo --

Kids boat for a swimming pool
The media could not be loaded. This boat feels well constructed but has very low speed. The barrel turns are a nice addition to the self-righting feature that does work. This boat is not fast and with only about 15 minutes per battery life it would be more suitable for swimming pools. The reverse features will make the boat stand up on its end and sorta jump a little when quickly going forward. Overall it was fun but short lived unless you are younger than around 10.

Good value for small RC boat!
It was smaller than I wanted but after reading the included manual, charging both included lithium batteries and purchasing and installing 3 AAA batteries for the controller, I was very pleased and so were my young boys! 2.4 wireless controller synced right away and the boat responded as soon as it hit the water! 20 minute run time and 1-1/2 charge times are accurate. Nothing bad to say here!

Easy to use
This boat was easy for my son to control and he had a lot of playing with it in a pool. The battery seems to last a long time. The boat could be a little bigger, but other than that my son loves it!
