For a higher price you are getting a very high quality product used by professional painters and decorators all over. The bristles are firm but soft enough to manoeuvre around corners and edges when cutting in. Slant on the bristles makes it easy to keep a neat, straight line when cutting in along long walls and ceilings. Very good product.

Used the 3 inch brush and soon found bristles falling out, which is both a pain and unnecessary. Didn't find the handle particularly comfortable.So cannot recommend although you do get a lot for your money. Just don't expect too much!

I am currently painting my narrowboat using a coach-painting technique known as laying-off. This consists of applying a generous coat of paint to a section in 8" squares by roller blending the squares together then using a brush to remove the excess paint and finally using light strokes of the brush from top to bottom to achieve a smooth finish. These brushes proved well up to the task and are up there with the leading make in my opinion. They have long, flexible tapered synthetic 'bristles' which also makes them easy to clean but for me the bonus is the plain wooden handle. I store my brushes in a vapour box which keeps them moist and supple ready for use even after an extended period of non-use and this vapour can soften plastic handles and make them unpleasant to use, some even have 'soft-grip' inserts which can also become detached, with these however there is no such problem. These are my go to brush from now on...

Great brushes, comfortable in the hand. Hold shape well. Holds paint great. Hardly any loose bristles maybe one while using. Love these

Arrived in good condition, very useful for cutting in on walls and windows, they work well with paint from a well known brand, not sure how good they would be with cheap paint, made job easier, fair price, easy to clean.

Done a lot of painting with the brushes and I find them very good

Due to purdy and Hamilton's getting so expensive, I've been looking for a cheaper option and I think I've found them in these brushes.

They not good enough for tradesmen but they good enough for the DIY people they will help them with the cutting in just not strong enough the trade
